hmm yeah i got the same impression that jennie was the most disengaged throughout the whole deadline era. she started off fine bcs she LOVES jump but i don't think she expected deadline to be..... like that 🥴🥴 it's almost like the more time went on and the more they worked on the ep she realized it was gonna be ass, tuned out bcs she knew it wasn't worth it, and put her energy into her own music instead 😐 imo she realized too late that bp can no longer work at the hands of yg and teddy and there was nothing really she could do to save it atp bcs they had a, ahem, deadline 🙃

i don’t disagree that the pinks have checked out of the group but as somebody who also saw BP for deadline, Jennie was fantastic for the group stuff at my show (and excellent at her solo section)

J's performance and her having multiple new songs already has confirmed a couple things that I thought when I saw the deadline tour last year: she has completely checked out of the group. I say this as a J biased blink, when I saw her at the deadline tour she did not seem to give a single fuck apart from her solo section. it was extremely noticeable. as I was walking out the stadium all I heard was other people around me talking about how disappointed they were that she didn't care to even try. in hindsight I don't think she attempted to work on the deadline ep either and got straight to work on making new solo music instead.
