i’ve played through veilguard three times now. although i was salty about it on my first playthrough (and admittedly my opinion had been prematurely tainted by online discourse about the game), now that i’ve spent more time with it i actually really like it. of course i still wish they hadn’t made many of the lore choices they made and i wish they’d taken the opportunity to reprise certain characters that i would have loved to see again. but i also think it has really fun gameplay mechanics, the combat doesn’t make me want to die, and i genuinely love the companions, the factions, the party banter. dare i say i don’t even mind the main story though i do wish it wasn’t as rushed. but overall it’s a solid game and i imagine it’ll stay in my regular rotation

There has been so much discourse about those characters but as always, I like them! I'm glad Diana Allers and Khalisah Al-Jilani are war assets and I believe it's entirely deserved.
They bring new recruits, donations, ... And they make sure that people don't forget about Earth.
Khalisah has her issues but one good thing about her is she doesn't care about power, she cares about people. So she will ask hard questions, she won't be intimidated, and that's a good thing during the Reaper War.
Meanwhile, Diana asked to join THE ship that was going to get in the middle of intense battles and fights. That takes a lot of guts and I think she doesn't get enough credit for that decision.
And talking about those two always bring the one who is sadly very much absent from ME3: Emily Wong.
I'm trying to picture Diana, Khalisah and Emily joining forces. Would have been epic, to be honest. We were kinda robbed.
i wonder if being in the fade physically changes the way that the mages staying at the lighthouse dream when they go to sleep
i think the in-game implication is no based on harding's dream dialogue. i know harding is not technically a mage but the only other dream talk i know of is when neve mentions dreaming of wisps.
just encountered banter i hadn't heard before between neve and bellara. they're standing outside the kitchen at the lighthouse.
bellara asks neve if her dreams are weird now that they're staying in the fade, then says that she thinks her own dreams are weird but she's not sure if it's because they're in the fade or if she's causing them to be weird because she expects sleeping in the fade to affect them.
neve, queen of mysteries, shrugs and says she doesn't know either. does not confirm or deny whether her own dreams are weird.
if there’s one thing neve gallus is gonna do, it’s strut her shit at the end of a cutscene
really been feeling like I'm doing the Haestrom mission every time I've had to do an errand outside lately, scurrying from cover to cover while feeling my kinetic shields going TSHHHHHHHbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep~ when I have to walk in the sun for too long

We have no idea where Bellara is, or what Elgar'nan is doing to her.

#Make Racists Scared Again 2026
Share if you want people to know they should be scared to be racist around you 👊🏾
"making them afraid will make them more racist" that's wild to me, because we live in a whole culture of social consequences for antiracism anyway. It is literally safer to be a racist than it is to speak up against it, socially.
Idk about you, but "I'm afraid no one will want to be my friend if I'm a white supremacist" seems like a pretty logical thought process to have, and I wish THAT were the normal and not "I'm afraid my friends will hate me if I tell them they made racist jokes".
neve and rana having the most egregious sexual tension while rook’s over here trying to romance neve… like damn should we leave you two alone?
Thinking about the fact that Miranda Lawson was ostensibly born before biotics were discovered by humanity, and trying to figure out which is worse:
Miranda's birthday being a fabrication - her being grown in a laboratory and aged - and implanted with false memories. Grunt DOES specifically identify her as 'tank-grown', and accelerated aging could be part of that - and most of her childhood we only ever hear about from her. Her 'birthday' being a retcon when she escapes with an infant Oriana.
Or perhaps Miranda WAS one of the very first biotics.
Either because Henry Lawson just started fucking around with eezo in his progeny experiments, or because of an accident, or whatever.
He's rich, powerful, well-connected, and humanity just discovered both eezo and aliens (and thus Asari), and Henry Has an Idea. A LOT of the traits he specifically engineers for in his offspring DO just so happen to be things that are notable about the Asari...powerful biotics, keen intellects, slower aging, all what humans would consider to be 'female'...). Seeing that potential to preserve his legacy AND evolve humanity...
...hell, given that we never see Oriana use biotics, maybe Miranda's WERE an accident. Or an experiment he didn't want to replicate.
Miranda being a biotic who *wasn't* born one. Henry, discovering their potential, and taking advantage of his child's accelerated healing to force her body to grow the same eezo nodules that most human biotics grow in utero. God, that had to have been painful, especially for a child. Probably for weeks on end. And we know that Henry didn't care about her feelings, or her pain. And we know that the collected litany of things that Henry did and engineered Miranda for left her very sterile - maybe that's part of it.
Taken at face value, every possibility for how Miranda is a biotic is utterly tantalizing and varying degrees of horrifying. (And so much richer to think about other than just writing it off as a plot hole.)
