if your necromancer is digging that is NOT cute. they only exhume bodies when they're extremely stressed. a proper well-enriched necromancer is provided with enemies to kill and reanimate on a regular basis and will make their enemies claw out their own graves as a play behavior.
alternatively you might have a mad scientist that was sold as a necromancer. this is sadly very common but the two breeds actually have very different habitat requirements

Went into photo mode to get a good look at Lucanis's favorite mug and the tea set gift. Came out realizing I am a little worried about his... lighting situation.
Like, even if a) the pantry is a dark windowless room and/or b) Lucanis is using light to try and keep from sleeping and /or c) Lucanis was deprived of light at some point in the Ossuary...
That's still an elven lantern, a candelabra, a candlestick, a wall brazier, and many, many precariously placed candles in places such as "the floor directly next to the bed", "directly touching the wooden side table", and "touching the cheese wheel."
Lucanis, you are going to be the reason Thedas invents fire marshals.

Ember Mercar x Neve Gallus
Don't pay too much attention to their height. They're BOTH shorter than they’re claiming. Ember, because she lies about her height and puffs up when anyone questions her on it. Neve, because she's always wearing heels and still counts that as part of her height. But no matter what, Neve is always (smugly) 1-2in taller than Ember, much to Ember's annoyance lmao.
Same deal with their ages. I'd put Neve in her mid-late 30's. She doesn't tell people her birthday - not because she's trying to hide her age or anything... she just likes to keep 'em guessing. And avoid surprise parties. Meanwhile, Ember's age is based on whatever shoddy records were kept back when she was enslaved on the Mercar estate. Whatever the case, Neve is always a couple of years older than Ember!
I'm a Jealous!Neve truther 🙂↕️ Because, yeah, I do think she's gonna get a lil territorial and possessive over her loved ones the same way she does over her city. It's not so much insecurity as it is the fact that they're hers. 😤
Ember, on the other hand, can be jealous for Neve’s attention but she’s not particularly threatened by other admirers - ok, except for Rana early on lmao. But for everyone else? It's more like, yes, Neve IS amazing and a gift to this world! Ty for noticing!! Now move along.
As for the triangle, I put Neve down in “Unintentional” because she was really in the “oh no no no” camp when she started crushing on Ember and tried to fight/ignore the feelings ("Wow, thaaaaanks 😒" Ember would mutter, but quickly accept Neve's fumbling explanation on how she didn't mean it like that lmao). Ember had no such crisis 😂 Well, other than trying to suss out if Neve liked her without outright asking and spooking the woman, I suppose.
I knooow Rook gives everyone gifts in-game but I don’t think that’s Ember’s actual love language. She’s more of a quality time and words of affirmation girl. Just look at how she's always going on outings with the companions and encouraging them when they're feeling down or out of their depth. 🥹💜
Neve is also a quality time gal - just look at how often she invites Rook out to have the company! She's someone who shows affection through acts of service, too. Actions speak louder than words for Neve! Showing up, the small wins - they all count. I do imagine that subtlety may be lost on Ember early in the romance, tho, which is part of her confusion on whether Neve even likes her back since the detective hasn't said anything of the sort 😅 Meanwhile Neve is trying not to be too obvious - in her eyes - by doing these things and thus revealing that she likes Ember.
Neve is absolutely a bed and blanket hog. She tosses and turns too much to not have everything (including Big Spoon!Ember who followed the warmth and blankets) bunched up on her side of the bed come morning.
Fun fact: Ember actually can cook some simple meals! She can’t bake or do anything that requires strict adherence to a recipe (she’s more of a “vibes” chef) but it’s serviceable. She just doesn’t cook very often because she’s also usually out and about on a job lmao. RIP Neve and Ember’s poor neglected kitchen.
Are we surprised that Ember is more likely to start a fight? No, no we are not. UNLESS we’re counting Neve playfully ragebaiting Ember 🤔 because that is absolutely a thing that happens and Ember falls for it too easily lmao.
Of COURSE Neve reads conspiracies. It’s part of the job (but tbh she also gets a kick out of the batshit crazy ones). Ember won't read the papers, but she enjoys when Neve shares the highlights. It's like their version of keeping up with a trashy soap opera or realty tv show lol.
You might think, based on how Neve dresses, that she's more dramatic but ☝️'tis not so. Ember (an ex-gladiator) is no stranger to hamming it up, putting on a show, and adding some flair. Sometimes looking cool is half the battle! Sun Tzu said that.
Neve and Ember are both very silly and very stubborn. A dangerous combo. But they commit to the bit!
They’re also both confident, but it shows up differently. Neve is more of a quiet professional (and tbh she’s often quite humble about what she can do) while Ember can come across as downright cocky despite having the skills to back it up.
Ember is also the more punctual of the two. IDK if that surprises anyone lol but I figure her highly regimented (and usually unforgiving) upbringing stuck with her, making her actually quite disciplined in her lifestyle and daily routine.
I used Photopea (free, browser-based) to fill this out and it was honestly a smooth ride with all the psd layers!

I really can and will blame the 9-5 for everything. "We're in a loneliness epidemic" well, we have to spend a third of our day interacting with people in a professional way that makes forming real friendships difficult and then we're peopled out by the time we're done. "People are eating more and more unhealthily" people have to spend more than a third of their day doing work related tasks and they don't want to spend their tiny amount of free time making food. "People aren't involved in their local communities" after spending more than a third of their day doing work related things people are tired and also all those community events take place during normal working hours. "People need to get more hobbies" after spending more than a third of their day working, people are TIRED and don't want to do anything that takes yet more energy. "Literacy is dying" to maintain your critical thinking skills you need to read/watch things that make you think and after spending more than a third of your day doing work related stuff you are TIRED and don't want to expend even more brainnpower. "People need to get outside more" People. Are. TIRED. Because they have to spend all of their time working or preparing for work or recovering from work or doing all the chores they couldn't stay on top of because of work. I can blame fucking anything on having to work, it is truly the root of all fucking evil.

Rowan/Dorian (DoriRo)
Skipped the trope section on both of these cause identifying/naming tropes and sorting my OCs/ships into boxes just isn't my forte 😅
Kinda struggled with the triangle thing in the middle there? It definitely wasn't intentional for either of them, but Dorian was the slower fall for sure.
When I say 'attachment' for Rowan, that doesn't mean clingy. It just means that he's, well, super attached. Has a hard time letting go of the things he cares about, even if it doesn't look like it on the outside. It hits him especially hard after Trespasser.
(worth noting on the attachment front that he’s been wearing the same scarf for 40 years)
They are both SO BAD at emotions (see also: the open/closed off slider lol)
I wasn't 100% on a love language for Dorian, but touch seems like it suits him (giving and receiving) since he's an affectionate guy in general. I think quality time is a very close second.
On gift giving: I really couldn't choose! I think they both like to do it, not necessarily in a grand sweeping gesture way but more of a "I saw this and thought of you" way. Rowan is notoriously hard to buy for but he can always use more practical things for his travels (new clothes, a new satchel, toolkits, journals, etc) and Dorian will usually have something waiting for him when he visits Tevinter post-TP. Dorian is easier—a book, some wine, some jewelry, and you're golden. But Rowan does also like to make things, mainly little beaded crafts, and Dorian considers his letters the most precious gift of them all :)
The Ship Sleep Dynamics meme I did for them ages ago goes into a lot more fine detail on the 'sleeping in' front. TLDR; Dorian has a hyperactive mind and doesn't sleep great. Rowan is a very Tired Boi against his will.
Dorian is only reading conspiracies because he thinks they're stupid and wants to prove them wrong
On punctuality: Seems like something that would have been instilled in each of them from a young age, Dorian especially given how he was raised. Rowan grew up with a strong sense of duty and obligation, then ofc had to be even more mindful of it as the Inquisitor, but I can see him starting to slip on that front after Trespasser (in part due to the memory issues).
Rowan/Davrin (Davro)
I searched high and low and could NOT find a reliable source for Davrin's age, but he reads as late 20s/early 30s to me so that's what we're going with lol. Ditto for his height, but I thought it would be funny if he was one single inch taller than Dorian.
No question at all that Davrin's love language is quality time, given that half his outings are getting Rook to take a walk and touch grass

No choice on the 'burn dinner' because I think they're both pretty capable there? For Rowan at least, there was usually consequences for that kind of thing so he's careful not to do it. Idk if Davrin is that into cooking but he doesn't strike me as someone who'd be terrible at it. Years of eating Warden gruel might inspire him to pick it up post-canon, who knows.
Ditto on the 'talks too much' front—we KNOW it ain't Rowan lol and I don't think Davrin is a huge yapper unless he gets going on his monster manual stuff, but Rowan is not viewing that as 'too much' (he thinks it's very hot)
I really don't see Rowan as a conspiracy-reader, but we know it definitely isn't Davrin "the fade isn't real" Dragonage
(jk we know he’s bullshitting Emmrich lol) (on a serious note, we know that Davrin doesn't like unknowns anyway. "Can't carve it till I know what it is" etc etc. and I do like that banter chain in general, and how it reiterates that he’s someone who prefers what is tangible, what he can physically observe and study)
The disparity between the Rowans on 'more likely to start a fight' is so funny to me. Very telling imo (Edit: you know what actually I should have put both Ro and Dorian for this one cause Inky!Ro CAN be petty. But I think Shadow Ro is pettier.)
Same as DoriRo re: punctuality. I imagine Davrin is used to that kind of rigidity from being in the Wardens, meanwhile Rowan is used to consequences for tardiness from the time he spent enslaved. If either of them says they're going to be at a certain place at a certain time, they'll be there.
(and I'm sure Assan does not let them EVER forget feeding time.)
