I haven't been drawing recently and wanted to expand more on it. I thought it would be fun to draw other's ocs to break through on practicing! I decided to draw someone's tav because I found her pretty and have kept up on the posts about her (her current design through the dark urge). This was a before and after shading (sorry the lighting isn't good). I would definitely like to do this again with someone else's oc! I hope it's alright that I drew her!

Another drawing for @shewolfofvilnius this time with Rolan and Tavaria. He's very difficult to draw for me but i wanted to practice drawing men and I thought why not! I tried to make him have that pride of his yet still able to show some vulnerable around Tavaria. I hope you like them and maybe I'll do a better one soon lol I might even go in an add more details to it later. I really just gave up on his armor lol

Again I like drawing my mutuals ocs as it motivates me to do better at art!

i don't often draw fanart so I'm rather pleased with how this turned out and of course I was honored to draw something for a friend, thank you for the opportunity, ari!

Edit: he pointed out to me that the skin tones look a bit yellow and while it was mostly just the overlay being orange to purple and the colors underneath were directly picked from the show references, I have changed it slightly so that it doesn't come across with negative connotations. I apologize if it looked suspicious to anybody before.

One of my favourite Unreliable Narrator moments to this day is in DA:I after the Blackwall reveal, Cullen's assessment of Leliana having the report on Renier but not saying anything is that she probably didn't connect the two people together because she's got a blind-spot for Wardens.

I understand why that's a reasonable assessment from him; Her history with the wardens is common in-world knowledge, the plot of Leliana's song is not. However from an outside perspective, I think it's far more likely Leliana did know, but that she has a soft spot for those seeking redemption from their past, given her own history.

It makes me smile every time I reach that point.

I hate to be...that...person, and like 3 ppl will see this, but for better and worse I am someone who tracks the metrics/stats on my fics. Write for yourself, sure, but the stories are already in my head. I write them out for everyone else's benefit. That said a lot of things I post are in smaller/less active fandoms so I'm used to low #'s and don't mind TOO much.

BUT...the story I posted for day one of Zutara Week, a fic I think is among the better things I've ever written, is only doing a fraction of the views (and kudos and comments and...) as a fic I posted the week before that was definitely more niche (albeit also with that same ship).

And the story I posted the day before the week started is ALSO only doing a fraction of the numbers as said 'week before' story, despite being a direct sequel with a very similar tone, similar tags, linked in a collection, etc.

It really does feel like Zutara Week is causing my most two recent stories to get fewer readers, not more (oversaturation maybe?) and as someone who put a LOT of effort and quite frankly emotion into those two newer stories, it's honestly kind of heartbreaking.

Anyway I'm not participating in the rest of the week and that's part of why. I'm still loving everyone's art and stories they're posting, but I'm tapping out.

Maybe I'll upload more down the road, in a less saturated season, but those two took a lot out of me emotionally so if only a fraction of the ppl will see/read it compared to another time, then i'm wasting my time and my own heart writing/posting it now.

ETA: The idea of the ZK week fic as posted/plugged on Tumblr is doing well, but basically no one is bothering to click through or read the thing. And that takes a *lot* out of me emotionally.
