deron's dad raises him alone after his two older brothers move out. he's not a very good father. when deron was a kid his parents had shared custody, but as time went on and enshittification progressed, it effects his mother a lot more than his father seeing as she was less employable and poorer in the first place. his mother eventually kind of just dips .. to do her own thing (drugs)...or maybe she's dead... it doesn't matter because she's just not there and deron is stuck with his dad. he can't decide who's worse since neither of them have hit him. he's manned up enough that his dad doesn't even threaten to hit him very often anymore. deron can only borrow the car sometimes. his dad's a busy guy, always at work or the pub or the track or something. his dad probably has a racecar too, maybe it was in working order when deron was a kid but now it's decrepit and decorated with winding weeds through the chassis.

jesse has a thing for elis that never really goes away, and elis never thinks of her that way. devon likes masculine, indignant, and subversively intellectual women. jesse isn't her type, not that devon is jesse's. jesse is drawn to tender displays of the femininity she feels alienated and rejected by, but she does not want something where the falseness is obvious.

tv has a penchant for technical things, mostly instruments and computers, but he could porbably figure out his way around a car engine if he needs to and has the owner's manual.

lorcan's biggest thing is gothic subculture and cultivating his personal style. he wants desperately to be cool but would never admit it. hes the type to make his own fun in the woods and tell you his tree-house is off limits for you specifically. collector of cute little things, knick knacks. he can sew but not well, his hand-eye coordination is poor. he's allergic to both cats and dogs.

dignan's a bit of an american civil war nut. big on certain kinds of americana in general. he likes analog things, almost proto-industrial in his stylistic whims. big on military stuff, especial union civil war stuff. very well-versed in american history but useless with the lore of his local area or even country of origin. he likes vintage board games and old planes. he watches current gothic trends, assuming what he likes and ideologically or sociologically surveying the rest. probably not very deftly.

david's perspective on morality is that if nobody alive suffers due to what you do, it can't be wrong. loretta is not a visionary, she is someone who facilitates other peoples creation. in every part of her life, she is de centered so through relapse records is the only way she can validate her self-worth & importance.
