My mom is from Nicaragua, they call it “cola.”
I literally grew up calling them ‘hair things’… and then I cut my hair short and forgot they existed. I moved around several places in the USA
I was born and raised in Oklahoma. I called these things “metal hair ties” and always hated them because the metal bit would always catch onto my hair anytime I tried to pull them out.
