I hate fanon Gavin sooooo much. It's truly pathetic when people give him North-like backstory "Oh he's so rude, must be past trauma to justify it". As a #1 Gavin fan I like him purely because he doesn't have any canon trauma. He's a human and humans can be horrible without any reasons. Honestly you can barely find any characters in media who are bad people just because they want to be like this without any shitty sad backstory. Gavin is one of the best DPD members, he has bad relationships with his colleagues and wants to assert his dominance the moment he sees someone who can compete with him. Not because he cries himself to sleep but because it's the way he deals with people and when it's not a human he can even use a little bit of force. Tbh North would be more likable if she was spiteful out of nowhere
