but I'm hearing there's a NSFW-friendly ko-fi alternative built on atproto that's actively in the works, and being vetted by lawyers right now. as torrent-princess (OP) says, you should be able to swap out payment processors while keeping your account intact. this matters since even if stripe removes support, you'll still have a shop and all of your links intact. (ATproto is an infrastructure that bsky is built on, but is far bigger than bsky with far more opportunities.)

additionally, the Free Speech Coalition is working on a credit union specifically for adult work (including kink art) - here's the link so you can add your interest & support. Since this will be built by sex workers, there'll be far less risk of being debanked for spurious and puritanical reasons.

on a domain TLD level, there's an initiative here for a .furry domain built from the ground up by seasoned furries; it's unclear whether they'll support NSFW, but it's yet another promising turn of events for a group that's been similarly affected by censorship.

I've been thinking about it for a long time, and lately things only solidified in my mind.

I'm going to be reducing the writing I do because it's a bit unsustainable for my mental health and my physical health, too. Writing is a second job for me, and everything else is very hard right now. Added to that, and not to be a victim or excuse myself in any of this, but more like to give y'all some information on what's happening. The overall interaction has dropped significantly, and that's okay, that's something that happens, I'm not entitled to any interaction, I know that. But it does make it harder for me to be excited to write as much as I did because I don't get as much joy from it as I once did. Validation doesn't hurt anybody.

Because of all this, I'm reducing the free stories to two a week. The Patreon exclusive will remain two added stories a week, and a special week with four of them. You can find all the Patreon info here.

So: how is this going to look from now on? There will be free stories on Monday and Friday, plus maybe some headcanons or lil txt in between. On Patreon there will be stories on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. The free stories will still be posted there a few days early, and Thursday and Sunday there will be an exclusive story. Plus the art, and special week and all that I usually do.

I'm not doing this post to create any kind of victimhood over myself, or anything like that. I'm just informing y'all that this is happening because I'm prioritizing my wellbeing over work. And to that I have to add: working doesn't dignify your existence, nor gives your life purpose. Do not fall for the capitalistic mindset that tells you working is the main thing that makes you worthy. It's not.

I've been thinking about this a bit lately because something that really gets my creative juices flowing is interpersonal relationships and intimacy. You know what's great for exploring interpersonal relationships and intimacy? Smut.
