More research needs to be done into PDA (pathological demand avoidance), it’s not diagnosable but I’m 99% sure I have it. But what IS it? Part of my autism? I generally fit the profile of Sukhareva’s very well, can they co-occur? Is it not even autism and it’s something completely different I have?
I know psychiatric categories and diagnoses are mostly just names of groupings of symptoms and many of them don’t have concrete answers to questions like this, but like. A little more research would be nice. And plus I want a psych to talk to who KNOWS a lot about it so I can like. Deal with it. But it’s like impossible to find one that takes my insurance.
Anyway sorry to any projects and/or requests I have left unfinished because I keep avoiding them. I am trying to deal with it… considering closing down a sideblog or two if I am finding they really trigger my PDA.
If anybody has been wondering where the results for the MOGAI survey are. Cyril wrote this ‘n I think it explains. I have the data but have not yet organised it— it’s been sitting on my computer for months.
Sorry… I will try my best to get myself to do it. If anyone reading this is another PDA-haver and you have tips. Please lemme know.
Haven’t used tumblr in awhile because of some life events (positive!) BUT I made a survey for anyone in the MOGAI community! (Link below). It has six sections and asks questions about gender, orientation, disability, plurality, and alterhumanity and about how they interact with MOGAI identity.
It’s kind of my version of the gender census… but for the MOGAI community! If I get a sizeable amount of results I’m thinking about making it a yearly thing. :) I’ll also release results in maybe a week? If there are enough replies!

Liike I’m intersex and every single trans— modality: transmasc, fem, neu, xenine, keno, etc. And then on top of that I’m in a body that’s also intersex but in a different way that is medically transitioning…
Idk. I guess it’s almost like the terms don’t rly work for me so I said fuck it I’m using all of them! Lol.
"Growing up assigned male and going up assigned female are both miserable traumatic experiences in different ways" and "gender itself is a system of control" are ideas that need to enter mainstream queer analysis.
Idk dude I just think if yr assessment of the situation boils down to "women are oppressed and men are the oppressors" yr always going to have at least a little bit fucked up views about trans women. Yr always going to think that we're like, trying to dodge accountability for being male or something.
