This post analyzes Nesta in The Tavern Scene, The Solstice Scene, The Cassian Runs After Nesta Scene, and The Nesta’s POV Scene. (Those are all bolded so you can skip to whichever you want, just know that they all build off one another.)

The point of this post is to explain how/when/why Nesta officially lost her “fire” and slipped into the Void (and subsequently became an addict). But it also includes a few gems a lot of you have been asking me about. Such as:

Nesta’s identity crisis and why she CAN’T and WON’T have a place in the Inner Circle unless she figures out who she is.

Why Nesta CAN’T sort out her identity/who she really is within Velaris and under Feyre’s High Ladyship.

Will touch on why Feyre doesn’t get Nesta a Solstice present and why there are NO paintings of Nesta (as she is now) in Feyre’s river house.

Why Rhys and Nesta (two alpha-Fae/leaders) can’t exist in the same place with one another with Nesta as she is now/with the identity and role he and the others put on her.

Will touch on why the whole “alpha-Fae” thing low-key drives Nesta “hold court” at the tavern and want her own separate life.

Also why Cassian (a non-alpha) can fall in line with Nesta and responds to her dominance when the rest of his “pack” aren’t around.
