Felt like making some abstract pattern designs. One of them's a remake of a different abstract pattern I made a while ago.

Did something called neurographic drawing in class today, not bad for making designs. Nothing but sharpie and a larger-than-average piece of paper, it's a pretty good activity to understand line as a design principle. I have a bad sense of time, so I can't give you a reliable guess for how much time it will take, but certainly less than an hour. Here's the steps as I remember them: 1. Draw a bunch of organic shapes (round, bulbous, kinda bubbly or like cells). Around 5 is recommended, things like spacing and size apply at your discretion. 2. Draw a bunch of lines through the shapes, at any angle. 3-4 recommended. 3. Make sure the lines are nice and thick (if you're using physical media, this step is more relevant since it'll take a bit more work) 4. At the intersections between lines, round out the edges (you are also permitted to have fun with it a little, like I did) (this step applies to every intersection, it could be a bit tedious but it's worth it in the end) 5. Draw thinner lines inside the empty space at your discretion. In the shapes, outside of the shapes, wherever. Different line angles, line spacing, whatever. You could use line to create the illusion of depth, changing values, or nothing at all. It's like child's play, and deserves the mindset of a playing child. I am curious to see what people come up with. I think different people will make different variations, and people fascinate me. Show me what you have done Right This Instant.

I was tired and misread microwave meal instructions like half a year ago. I had no choice but to make this as a result. I remembered to record (part of) the process of making this! Note that I made it slightly painful to watch for entertainment value.

Judging by previous student examples, I don't think this level of effort was necessary for the assignment. But it was necessary to me.
