Honestly it boils down to reparenting yourself & rewiring your own neuronal pathways & telling yourself a firm “stop” when you notice your mind slipping down negative loopholes & being present in the moment & enjoying being mid task rather than waiting for it to end & not thinking of inertia as your baseline and natural way of living

So tempting to keep embarking on the same self destructive cycle over & over & over again . But at some point you have to put ur foot down w ur own behaviors & be the thing that truly saves u

real talk tho ive seen ppl talk abt how long hair on men isn't intrinsically feminine & assuming so is racist can we get the same convo going for Black women w short hair can we start talking abt how short hair isn't intrinsically masculine or is that a step too far

huge fan of when characters love each other and are closely bonded in an explicitly nonromantic way. however ☝️ i am very much not a huge fan of what happens when characters like this are introduced to fandom

It's still insane to me that people hear "my trans daughter" and are more likely to think "I'm misgendering my transmasc or non-binary child" and sympathetically nod along than they are to understand it as "my daughter who is a trans woman"

And they're more sympathetic to the first one!!! Even if they themselves are queer! Because the assumption is "my kid is having a phase" rather than "I am a supportive parent". Which is to say the assumption is that only ppl who were assigned female at birth come out as trans as minors (no one wants to talk about what factors might influence that tho). We need to kill everyone!!!!!!
