peep the brand! Season 9 of TWD sees Rick Grimes aboard a mustang, maybe not for the first time, since I’ve read that Blade (the horse he rides into Atlanta) is also a ‘stang. This time around he’s on a mare named Modoc, owned by Sierra Sawaya (who works with Tommie Turvey, who has been involved with the show from the beginning and is also known for his work with the Budweiser Clydesdales).

According to her owner, Modoc is from the 3 Fingers HMA in Oregon.

As anyone who follows this blog knows, mustangs are an excellent choice for a postapocalyptic mount, since they get fat on air and have great feet. If you’re looking for a good horse to outpace zombies with, get thee to a BLM holding facility!
