Used by the French anti-terrorist brigade in 2013, our Harrier watch has been adapted to a case in ballistic polyamide laced with carbon fibre. The Swiss Ronda movement allows to read time in 24 hours format or to keep track of a remote time zone.

In 2013 we launched the Harrier collection, which led to a limited edition for armed forces. The automatic version used the calibre 9015, a slim movement that had been released by Miyota in 2009 to offer 42h of power reserve and chronometric precision. Techné was one of the first third party brands to use it, and we regulate our watches within -4/+6 seconds per day, as opposed to the factory's -15/+15 seconds per day.
More than 50 steps are needed to produce some 280 finished straps out of a full hide. Our calf leather is sourced from traditional tanneries based in Tuscany and the transformation into a strap heavily relies on skilled manual labour, even if some tasks are carried out on electric driven machines.
Our 18mm buckle is made in Staybrite austenitic stainless steel, an alloy that was invented by Firth Brown Steels in 1924 and quickly adopted by watchmakers as a substitute to platinum for the production of watch cases, during the impending Great Depression. Staybrite went on to be used for cutlery, surgical instruments and most industrial and household appliances.
