god, this makes me so frustrated.

Do you know how much cool and creative stuff I (and many others) never got to fully make/do because a very vocal and hateful section of the community would keep screaming at us for existing in anything?

A lot. So much stuff. So many wonderful things never got a decent chance to exist because of this.

And it still happens.

There’s a lot of “it’s just the hateful vocal minority being mean, ignore them” that is constantly thrown around but ya know what?

That extremely vocal group who is hateful is one thing if not VOCAL and PERSISTENT!

Which not only hurts the content development cycle because “well I guess fans hate this” is the takeaway but also because those comments will DOMINATE the comment section - a dozen or so people commenting over and over again on the same video that they HATE someone will overwhelm everything and, more importantly, the person GETTING the hate.

Y’all we put on a good show of that stuff not bugging us but it DOES and it HURTS and it causes HUGE bouts of depression and self loathing for EVERYONE affected.

Let’s Build was just one of those things, and that was PRE me coming out as trans. People just hated us cause we were “NEW”!

Don’t even get me started on the comments section for my appearance on Always Open.

Or my first merch shoot after coming out.

Or any time I was lucky enough to do VO for The Know.

Or literally any of the videos I made for Inside Gaming.

Because that was, and continues to be, a nightmare.

All we want to do as creators is to make other people’s days brighter, give a moment of happiness, to let folks lose themselves in the enjoyment of a new or fictional world… and all we got was hate.

So there ya go… y’all ever wondered what happened to any of that stuff or new things from certain folks, myself included, now ya know! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

michael and lindsay are married, most every member all been involved/the best man when it comes to others weddings, michael lived with jack when he first moved to austin and andy lived with michael in turn, gavin was and in a way still is geoff's other kid he also had in his home alongside millie, geoff is also the godfather of michaels kids, pre-covid and post vaccinations they cannot be kept AWAY from each other from parties to game nights to dinners out and in together, everyone is friends with the non-personality family/partners of other members and often have close and unique bonds friendships with the those members (meg, michael, jackie and fredo streaming!)

like you can hear it in podcasts when they talk about going home only to play video games with each other all night after doing it on camera all day. when they all played destiny in their free time and trevor came over to michaels, had michael fall asleep in the living room and seriously contemplated carrying him up the stairs to make sure he was tucked in bed. michael and fredo having 4+ hour calls talking about pcs and bullshit while just walking around the house . jack happily and willingly bringing fiona and matt with him for a quick excursion to disney during their work trip and the pride he takes in being a fatherly figure to the younger members. the fact that he finishes every call with everyone with "i love you!"
