the thing about a possible rote screen adaptation is that if it were to ever happen, it could never be done by any kind of big name studio. the only way to get an even passable version is if it’s done by 14 people MAXIMUM in a production company based out of someone’s uncle’s garage in the middle of halifax. it demands to be a passion project wherein the cast and crew get paid in personal fulfillment and gas money. nighteyes is the filming guy’s pet border collie that they dress up Star Trek-style.

4x25 - Body Parts. Finally a comic relief episode i was waiting for.
Plotline A is suchhh a good character development for Quark. The way he used to hold on to Ferengi values and then he realizes that true traditionalists hate his guts and the actual good thing is his life is the power of friendship. Splendid. I wonder if it will restore his relationships with his mom since they are booth outcasts now? also Garak was hilarious in this episode i missed him a lot.
Plotline B. I think i would hate this plotline on its own but knowing they did it for irl reasons makes me feel better about it overall, i think it was a clever solution. Also O'brien family shenanigans are amazing like sure. bring in all the strays. I wish they would talk more about bodily autonomy and the inherent body horror of another person growing inside of you all of a sudden, kira's feeling on the matter and all, but it would make this storyline the main one i guess.
