As Edgar helped him pick up the books, Ted thanked him, scurrying to get most of them himself. âOh, Iâm sure sheâd try, but sadly Iâm a bit of a lost cause when it comes to being healed of my delusions. I thought youâd know that by now.â He laughed. âI was studying â a job at the Ministry isnât just going to drop right into my lap. If I want to do well for myself, Iâve got to work twice as hard as I did last year.â
He laughed with Ted, âDonât say that too loud, lost causes get locked up in the Magical Maladies wing at St. Mungos.â He straightened with the few books he had managed to pick up before Ted. Weighing the heavier ones in his hands he asked, âDo you plan to read all of these tonight? You know, you donât have to check out all the books youâre going to need for the year, the library will still have it next month.â
