Suffolk County Council - Boom Op

This was my first 'pro' boom op gig. I haven't seriously boomed before but this was great fun. Being a sound recordist/boom op is definitely another career option for me.

I have always loved working with sound ever since the early days recording EP's on my IBook G4 and my vintage copy of garageband, recording vocals on the laptops internal mic.

This was a collaboration of work from a variety of students on my course.

Flipside Festival 2013

I had a good time filming this. I was given a schedule and then just left to my own devices. There was a very brief brief of 'show the atmosphere' and 'make it look busy' other than that it was kind of free reign. I purchased a tripod for this and rightly so. This festival was far to chilled and formal to be a spider rig jobby.

Aldeburgh DocFest

Originally, Steven Spielberg was going to do a live-action adaptation of Tintin, and called Peter Jackson to ask if his VFX company Weta Digital would work on the film, in particular creating a CGI Snowy. Jackson, as it turned out, was a longtime fan of Tintin, and convinced Spielberg that live action would not do justice to the comic books, and that motion capture was the best way of representing Hergé’s world of Tintin.

I flippin loved this film! A great modern sci-fi. People need to lay off Tom Cruise, he's seems to be a friendly guy. Most midget's are just loud and angry.
