if it means anything, I got to do the album cover for a local niche band (specifically for their new upcoming album, which is basically a prog rock/funk/fusion genre sorta thing) in my area as part of my work experience! (also if my album cover gets potentially picked as the official album cover for said local niche band, I might get a cash prize out of it, which is extra cool fr :D!!)
I did get help from my mum’s friend (who is a professional illustrator & graphic designer herself) in terms of how to even do an album cover (especially a digital one) in the first place (especially using the more complicated tools on Photoshop lol) which did make the experience all the more worthwhile and I deffo learnt a lot from it fr

The classic "Nobody wants to work these days" complaint but directed at employers who all want a new hire with a ton of work experience and training and none of which are willing to be the ones to provide said work experience and job training.
I know I don’t usually do personal text posts, and it is very late over here + I have work in the morning, but I really just felt like I needed to share this lmao.
I was at my job a few weeks ago (I work as a barista), and someone comes in; I recognize them from one of my classes. I was always nervous to talk to them since they dress cool, and I’m very awkward with compliments.
I notice that they have an ita bag with them.. with multiple Pierrot pins. I never see TFC fans in real life, so I immediately comment on their bag. We talked about TFC for 5 minutes straight before I realized I was at work and that I needed to give people their coffee.
I got their phone number and we’ve been talking ever since! I don’t know why I was so scared to talk to them lmao, they’re so nice!
I should really get to bed now..
