An identity reveal fic for captain marvel where they’re stuck in space and his powers slowly go on the fritz the longer he tries to stay as Captain Marvel

A fic of a member of the Batfam having a panic attack and acting completely normal through it- and only their super can hear it via their heartbeat

Bruce: fancy bitch, probably leather or some fancy fabric- rich reds and blacks, dark tones woods- he knows how not to get blood stains on his furniture (see: Alfred knows how to get blood stains out of the furniture when he inevitably fucks up and gets blood on his furniture, but also he usually gets stitched up in the batcave)

Dick: tan or cream furniture, fabric- he wasn’t thinking when he bought it, he spends most of his time trying to get blood stains out of it because when it isn’t him getting blood on it it’s one of his teammates or brothers (he’s pretty sure Jason makes it his personal mission to get blood on his couch every time he comes over) (he’s right).

Jason: the most sensible, he uses red or black furniture like Bruce in easy to clean fabrics, he stitches himself and his teammates up on his couch regularly. Most of his furniture also has replaceable cushion covers, because again, he’s practical.

Tim: gray fabric, not great, but better than Dick’s, plus he doesn’t usually go straight home after patrol so he’s usually isn’t getting blood on it (unlike Dick and Jason).

Babs: colorful furniture, midtone, bright woods. She works out of the clocktower or batcave, her furniture might be the safest from accidental bloodstains.

Duke: definitely likes tan/brown leathers and fabrics- since he lives at the manor it’s not too bad until he forgets about an injury or pops a stitch and a loud “FUCK- ALFRED” can be heard from his room as he realizes he got blood on the furniture. He helps alfred clean it up and honestly Alfred doesn’t mind too much because it happens much less with him than it does with Bruce.

Damien: fancy bitch like Bruce, honestly is a mini Bruce but probably only does black leather with dark wood tones because he seems like that kind of guy. In the rare case he gets blood on the furniture, it’s probably not his.

Cass: could not give less of a shit, probably picks up stuff from thrift stores or the side of the road, actively doesn’t care about getting blood on the furniture, it’s not like she’s having people over who don’t already know.

First off- lets set up some assumptions / facts here.

Ranboo is from the end

Ranboo has amnesia

Ranboo is half enderman

Ranboo has an enderwalk / unconscious state.

Next let’s explain the assumption here that ranboo is from the end.

Ranboo has a familiarity to the end portal, seems to be drawn to strongholds, his axes have names connecting to the end and react around end portals.

These are the big moments for my backstory theory, now let’s make some reasoning and assumptions based on them.

At the start of the confrontation, ranboo is fully conscious, he says goodbye to Tommy and tubbo before they leave. However near the end when they’re in the structure, he doesn’t talk, is much more stoic, and later reveals he doesn’t remember the room when he goes back to it. He’s ender walking, but we know he needs something to trigger his enderwalk. We know from sapnaps prison visit that a smilie face is a trigger for him. Plus he is able to look Dream in the eye as they take him away. In general we know ranboo has a connection with Dream because he hears his voice and also allegedly helped him throughout Act 2.

So now- THE BACKSTORY

Ranboo lived in the end, being only half enderman he was unable to hear the dragon’s commands, both a blessing and a curse. On one hand it meant he had his own free will, he wandered the end, picking up and placing his blocks, talking to visiting overworld endermen. On the other hand the void endermen shunned him. He began to learn that the dragon wasn’t just commanding the other endermen, but controlling them. So when an overworld creature showed up one day to slay the dragon, he decided to help. The creatures name was Dream. Dream almost died while fighting the ender dragon, and while trying to protect his injured form ranboo was badly hurt as well. As the dragon roared and prepared to land a final blow on the two, ranboo freaked out, teleporting not only himself but also dream out of the area.

Ranboo woke up in the overworld, his memories of the end gone. (I like the idea that either the teleportation took so much out of him since he’s only half enderman that it caused amnesia, kind of a trade off, or that void endermen just lose their memories of the end when they enter the overworld, but since he’s half endermen he didn’t have the instincts to know how to return.) and Dream also gone. In a daze he began to wander the world. When whispers of Dream and the other members of this world finally reached him, he felt drawn to them. He returned to the place he first remembered to find it changed, and a vaguely familiar figure not too far away. He was almost immediately attacked by the figure, which he found strange. (It was Dream trying to get him to teleport back to the end). Then the history of ranboo we know begins. He can’t explain the trust he has of dream, but certain things remind him of the end, sending him into an altered state which hold his memories of the realm he is from.

Wilbur is very adement on this one but I still say sally is a kitsune. After all kitsune are FOXLIKE mythical creatures who can have the ability to shape shift. IT MAKES SENSE.

He is a fox hybrid. Not a furry, again with his mom being a kitsune.

And their connections to each other

I’ve low key been thinking about Phil, Techno, and Death (Mumza) and had a realization

If Mumza is death and Phil is death’s angel then Techno should be death’s blade

Death

Basically it’s a popular head canon (and is somewhat implied canon by Phil) that Mumza / Kristin is death or the goddess of death. This is partially due to the idea that while Techno was referred to as the blood god during SMP earth, Phil was referred to as the Angel of death. It transferred over to the DreamSMP and it was brought up that what if “Angel of death” wasn’t an Angel who brings death, but death’s angel. And who better for phil to be an Angel to than Mumza.

Phil / Death’s Angel

A very interesting thing I found about Phil’s character is while he call him the Angel of death, death’s Angel, he has actually only killed one person (canonically) - Wilbur.

Wilbur I-Just-Blew-Up-An-Entire-Country-Please-Phil-Kill-Me Soot. It could honestly be described as somewhat of a mercy kill.

To me at least, Death’s Angel would be a much more merciful killer. Think the personifications of death that are merciful, that rock dying animals to sleep in their arms, lead scared children away from the living world with their hand in theirs. Death’s Angel is kind in death, a fatherly figure in ones last moments. Sounds like the kind side of Phil’s character.

As to the more chaotic side- he’s still his own person, and is technically mortal, though he’s lived for a very long time, that would make a man chaotic.

On that topic- Phil is technically mortal in the sense that he can die, but he ages much much slower than the average person. He has only ever had 1 canon life, after each life he reunites with mumza until he is reborn to another place.

In one of his last lives he was killed by a baby zombie.

Techno / Death’s Blade / Blood God

While Phil is Death’s Angel, Death’s Mercy - Techno is Death’s Blade, her wrath. Unlike Phil he is not reborn - he has lived one (very long) life (hence technoblade never dies). However unlike Phil he doesn’t age, which is why he calls Phil old.

After SMP Earth, he had retired to far off floating islands, where he settled down and set up a farm, until mumza called on him again.

Unlike Phil, Techno has many canon kills. Tubbo, Schlatt, Quackity, Quackity again, and is a renowned warrior, unbested. Again works with the idea of being death’s blade, death’s warrior, death’s wrath.

He has 3 canon lives because he was a normal piglin brute (or just pig idk) before he was chosen, which stopped his aging and gave him abilities (made him a player) and because he isn’t reborn, he only has one life, so him having 1 life and being in the heat of battle all the time doesn’t make sense.

Basically Phil and techno know each other because they work together and under death’s command. They are Yin and Yang of mercy and wrath.

I love this theory and I will not be taking criticism thank you very much. (I actually will if you have any questions or want to nitpick specifics I will very gladly elaborate I love getting into those specific questions about headcannons)

What *is* the enderwalk state

Ranboo has said that the enderwalk state isn’t a different version of him or anything like that- it’s him, it’s just him with ALL of his memories.

To me at least, this screams “enderwalk ranboo is a truama/ptsd response triggered by flashbacks”

And here’s why (note I’m not a professional so some of the psychology stuff may be inaccurate)

C!Ranboo doesn’t remember his past, common with trauma.

The way the enderwalk state is triggered- By intense fear as well as seemingly randomly.

The enderwalk state also has access to memories that ranboo doesn’t otherwise have access too.

Basically c!ranboo has amnesia as a defense mechanism for past trauma- and the enderwalk state exists because during flashbacks he does have those memories, however because he doesn’t when he isn’t in a flashback, they stay separate from each other. (Note I think this can happen with flashbacks but I am not sure if it can however this is a fantasy world and c!ranboo isnt human so there’s no saying it COULDNT work)
