It was opening weekend at The 2018 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, which runs through May 28th, 2018. We were invited out to preview #FreshEpcot, and are touring you through some of our favorite bites & impactful moments here & on instastories! ↪ . From the new Honey Bee-stro hosted by the National Honey Board: Roasted cauliflower with buckwheat honey carrot puree, wild rice pilaf, asparagus, honey blistered grapes and sunflower brittle. (Veg) (GF) We also tried the Honey-Peach Cobbler Freeze with blueberry vodka, ya, drink that. (Boozy milkshake!) We are looking forward to trying some of the other dishes on a future visit. ↪ . Primavera Kitchen: Frozen Italian Margarita with Limoncello and Tequila. If you like a margarita, try this. If you like lemoncello, try this. If you don't like lemoncello try this! Yum!↪ . The Smokehouse: Beef Brisket Burnt Ends and Smoked Pork Belly Slider with Garlic Sausage, Chorizo & Cheddar fondue and house-made pickle pictured with the frozen Lemonade with Firefly Blackberry Moonshine. ↪ . The most perfect rose at the media reception. Arrangements by @ftdflowers, a festival sponsor, and arranged by local @inbloomflorist. Completely Belle-worthy. 🌹 . A spectacular weather weekend, lucky visitors enjoy blue skies providing the perfect backdrop to the festival. ↪ . One of my favorite spots to visit, the majestic Orchid Garden in Mexico. Orchids blanket the tree trunks a breathtaking 20 feet and higher. ↪ . Foodies & gardeners alike should plan time at Living with the Land, where Disney horticulturalist are cultivating & growing vegetables, herbs & more. This vertical trellis of winter melon was one of the many vegetables used on property. . The Flower & Garden butterfly garden tent under the Monorail with Spaceship Earth. ↪ . Touring the Butterfly Garden, it was delightful to watch kids and adults appreciate the fauna and enchantment of the many butterflies.↪ . We were invited to preview @duckdonuts Hunter's Creek new seasonal flavor, Key Lime. The new flavor is officially available today and can be combined with other toppings to create your favorite key lime pie vibe. These cooked and made to order donuts are a decadent treat!🍩 . Orlando is once again experiencing seasonally appropriate cooler weather! It's time to light a fire, don some boots and grab a hot toddy. Our recent visit to @waldorforlando's Peacock Alley lounge had us appreciating the balance of a nicely crafted hot toddy. Using Rum, White Creme de Cacao, Bittermens Mole bitters & Monín peppermint syrup- the first sip of elevated toddy flavor evolved into a smooth, pleasantly minty finish. Wood fired Verlasso Salmon atop spicy cioppino, corona bean w/ basil aioli at @pratowp. Most of us are cleaning out defrosted fridges and freezers from the post #Irma power outages. This peanut butter pie never tasted so good, as it did last night while we still had no power.
