transsexual was the term used to medicalize being trans. Transsexual and transgender aren’t really different terms, transgender is just one that wasn’t used by the medical community to hurt trans people and is more cissexist. Since essentially the difference is “different sex” and “different gender”.

In a way you are correct that truscum think that since transsexual is the medicalized term for transness, although it doesn’t fully encompass their ideology and it isn’t as simplistic as a feud between terms. As far as thinking gender and sex are the same thing, at the root of it that’s what it is, but being truscum is really just about thinking trans people need to be dysphoric before they are really trans, and need to actively want/pursue medical transition. Depending on who you talk to, it can be any kind of dysphoria, but most of the time it’s the physical kind.

the fact that he does this level of coding (read: FIX A BILLION DOLLAR WEBSITE) for absolutely free and only asks for meager donations and suggestions in return is astounding. but you all fucking take advantage of coders and programmers like it’s just slapping a keyboard when half of you can’t even install a script on your theme. i sent an ask with a problem and in 10 minutes he’d quietly updated both the extensions and now it’s perfect again.
