We've been struggling to get our basic needs covered, we have no water, our daughter got her hair mutilated by her grandpa, we had to flee to a hotel 2 times during last month because he's been a danger for us, i lost my healthcare and im still in the paperwork to get it back and a couple days ago our trans daughter started peeing blood, is in pain and has shown signs of infection.
She already got checked by a Dr but he recommended an urologist very urgently. She already underwent surgery last year, there is a chance it was badly done or a new issue.

The total cost of surgery through the only trans friendly clinic we could find goes over $52,000 pesos, which is over $3,100 usd, not even taking into account if she needs to stay overnight under their care.
She wouldn't have to go through another surgery if the previous dr had identified the symptoms better, we cant put her through another transphobic clinic, she was miserable and shouldn´t have gone through all that.
If it helps at all it's going to be her birthday on July 14, it would be great if she didn't have to be in pain and going to the bathroom meant a crying session and a constant infection.

Buffalo musician chrysalisamidst — also known simply as ‘K’ — has been working for five years now on ‘The Garden of Earthly Delights,’ a weighty project that focuses on her journey as a trans black woman, particularly the period during which she left her father and his evangelical household after he refused to accept her transition.
A musical and image-laced piece of art, ‘…Garden’ includes more than 30 songs, some of which are now available on Bandcamp.
“I grew up in a time where albums were longer, there were more songs, there was intention behind it, and I kind of wanted to bring that back,” she said. “When I was conceptualizing ‘The Garden of Earthly Delights’ it was an idea of there would be the music, but there would be also ‘a book of hours.’”
That book traces back to a sort of personal prayer book for the laity, often with artwork depicting the life of Jesus Christ and other saintly images. She described them as illustrated pamphlets interspersed with scriptures and art — a vessel to show her own poetry and artwork that could be read and viewed while listening to her music.
K grew up performing a cappella in the choir at school and church and listened to R&B and jazz at her grandmother’s house. Later, as a teenager, she started listening to electronic music.
“Once I got into my late teens, I would dive, here and there, into the processes of EDM and how it was made. Some house music, some techno stuff. Then, as I got older — when the dub step craze came up and a lot of that music — that kind of inspired me to infuse that with some other things I had dealt with before: the a cappella music, a lot of acoustic kind of things,” she said. “Over the past decade... I was very much aware that, ‘OK, I’m making the music I want to make, but also it’s not necessarily how I would want it to be, I guess in a commercial context.’ But also, I don’t know if I want it to be that.”
K’s mother died when she was young, and she knew since childhood she was not expressing her true gender identity. When she found the courage and will to come out and transition, she was not supported by her family. Her father, from whom she has had a long estrangement, is highly religious and his church excommunicated her entirely. Yet while his rejection left them estranged, the feelings that surround the relationship remain complicated. One of the items K sent to 1120 Press during the reporting of this story was an article that featured her father written by a Christian publication regarding the May 2022 racially motivated massacre at Tops on Jefferson Avenue. K’s father worked at the supermarket and led people from the store through a backdoor to safety.
“I am very much proud of my dad. I understood that, apart from talking to the smaller Christian newspaper, he doesn’t really see himself (as a heroic person.) I felt it was necessary to acknowledge him as such. I was already chronicling the experience of transitioning with a parent like that. I am not one of the people who had a nice coming out process, so that really colors that,” she said, referring to her father’s actions during the Tops massacre and how they so sharply contrast his refusal to accept his own child’s transition.
Her family’s past, in fact — as well the untaught Black history throughout the City of Buffalo — plays a notable part in K’s music, including her paternal cousin, Kevin Blackford, who was the leader of a Black Panther chapter in 1968 in Buffalo. Previously unbeknownst to her, that piece of family history was only recently revealed during a family funeral, K said. Such moments of revelation, she said, have inspired her to incorporate that history into ‘The Garden of Earthly Delights.’” (Which can also be found HERE on Soundcloud)
A counselor, advocate and outreach worker to those in Buffalo’s LGBTQ+ community, K knows, too, that no Black history would be complete without also acknowledging the marginalized community living within the Black community itself.
“There’s not very much visibility in terms of integrating that idea of Black history with the fact that Black LGBTQ+ people are part of Black history and the Black history in Buffalo,” she said. “In a lot of cases we are sidelined, marginalized, and erased from the conversation completely.”
That, K said, must change. And one way to effect that change, she said, is by taking that history and “infusing it in my music.”

- I'm a disabled parent making $826/mo on SSDI, but I only got $217 of my monthly payment this month due to a Medicare premium that will also take $200 next month – I signed up for a medicare savings program that is supposed to pay it back, but I haven't heard from them yet and I have bills due next week
- I just got hit with an extra $260/mo expense to benefit the man who has spent years harassing and stalking me after physically and sexually abusing the fuck out of me during our relationship; who ran out of his kid's life and never paid child support – $50/week in gas + $15/week visitation fee. (btw for everyone who saw my last donation post – I found out that my ex does in fact pay for $15 of the $30 fee, but i was only able to raise enough for gas last week so today I owe $30 for visitation). *It is literally impossible for me to pay for this.*
- I went through a traumatic situation a couple of months ago; details in the original post but long story short two police officers attempted to murder me in the middle of the highway with oncoming traffic. I have two tickets and I'm trying to fight them in court but they made a loophole where I can't get a public defender so if I can't find a lawyer pro bono I'm SOL if I can't raise the money for one — haven't found one yet, next court date is July 9
- my bf was illegally fired, he got his job back but he lost a week of pay and either way he can't take care of these extra expenses for me due to all the help he's already given me without me being able to pay him back
- my suv still needs the transmission replaced and my partner's family's car I'm borrowing is falling apart; we were able to fix one thing that was causing the borrowed car to break down over and over (still breaks down just not as often) thanks to donations but I have to get my suv from the place it's parked at soon or I'll lose it completely. At this point, it's looking like all I can do for now is get it towed because I've been trying to raise the money to fix it for about 5 months now and every time I'm ready to fix it another expense pops up.
- On top of having to drive down to my hometown every week now, I also have appointments in town, such as a dentist appointment on Tuesday and an appointment to meet with my court appointed GAL the week after that. It costs $50 in gas every time.

I've explained on here a bit about how violent he is. It's why I've had at least 5 restraining orders filed on the dude. He wasn't just physically abusive towards me, he is towards EVERYONE – he has assaulted his friends, his family members, my family members, his BOSS, and even complete strangers, like how he went to prison for two years for "nearly beating a guy to death with a skateboard on the sidewalk" 🙃 the amount of people he's threatened is even more! He can't rent a place because he's tried to threaten landlords into decreasing the rent 🙃🙃🙃🙃
I've had 4 (now 3) ongoing court case against him since he got out of prison in October – a restraining order for me, a petition for a name change for my kid (why did I give him his dad's last name when I only dated him for a few months in high school??), and a restraining order for my kid, which the court decided to turn into a paternity case, because it turns out I didn't have full legal custody like I thought (i was granted full legal custody for a restraining order i filed in 2015; i did not know it was temporary and only lasted for the length of the restraining order.) This court case will allow me permanent full custody and remove ALL legal rights from his father, which will then allow me to change my son's last name without any argument from his sperm donor.
The first judge i saw, for the restraining order, is the one who ordered visitation. He clearly had a father bias, and our guardian ad litem HATES him. Once we got a new judge, the GAL went OFF about how ridiculous it was of the old judge to grant him anything at all after all of the information provided and the situation that arose during our first court date.
Another woman had filed a restraining order on him at the same time as me, so for the first trial, the judge called both of our cases at the same time. Our ex was in jail for the day (idr why) and appeared by video call.
When the judge asked him questions, he would ignore the question and go on to say shit like "man, I was gonna look so hot today if I wasn't here in jail haha! This is sooooo embarrassing. I'm actually a really great person –" and the judge kept having to cut him off to say "Mr. [X]. Mr. [X]. Answer the question or I'll have to hang up on you." Our ex continued to spew nonsense anyway. I had never heard an entire court room laugh at someone before. Eventually, our ex got angry and started lashing out, so the judge had to hang up. He looked at both of us and said "I see why you guys filed these." The entire courtroom ERUPTED into laughter. It was crazy.
And then... during the next trial... he said, for SOME fuckin reason, "well, I don't wanna take a father away from his son, so... I think the last we can do is supervised visitation..."
Well, the court ordered visitation didn't happen for 9 months because my ex never contacted anyone, including the GAL. I thought it wasn't happening, especially since I asked for it NOT to happen. But now I'm living 2 hours away, and I got the phone call on June 11 to let me know it would start a week later, and I had no choice but to pay for the gas there AND the visitation fee.
I said "I give it at maximum 3 visits before his dad fucks it up." I was spot on. (We missed one visit, so the 3rd visit happened last week).
After the visit last week, my kid told me that his dad was acting "really weird and jumpy." Said he didn't make sense with his words at all and kept randomly jumping out of his seat. He asked my kid personal questions about my life, which my kid fortunately knew not to answer. And he randomly told my kid about a "group chat where his friends were bragging about selling drugs to his uncle."
Yesterday, I got a call from the supervisor, and she told me "I have decided to terminate visits." She said that since the visit went so bad last week, she called him yesterday to make sure he would be stable enough for a visit. She said he was hostile, wasn't making sense at all, and eventually tried to threaten her into getting his way, so she told him that they're going to have to stop doing visits. Apparently, he completely lost his shit right before hanging up on him. The supervisor told me that she didn't just think it was unsafe for my child to be around him, but the entire staff felt unsafe with him around.
I was like yeah, this is his normal, unfortunately.
This broke my kid's heart. I fucking told the judge this would happen.
Well, at least this will largely benefit me for all future court cases 🙃
OH YEAH I also finally got my car moved!!!
