There is honestly nothing more satisfying than the lovers to enemies trope. Enemies to lovers are great but lovers to enemies? Maximum pain and angst. Nothing hurts like the moment when the main character realizes that the person they thought they could trust and was falling for has been working against them the entire time and now they are on opposite sides even though they still have lingering feelings for each other. SO. GOOD.

enemies to lovers combined with marriage of convenience is the best mix of tropes and you cannot convince me otherwise   

i’m literally so upset at the way that ronan loves i want to cry like he NEVER says it he never says anything or tells people “i love you” but his love is so active he always has to do something he dreams epipens for his best friend and hides them everywhere he dreams hand lotion for adam when he notices how his chapped hands are bothering him he silently pays off adam’s debt and lets him think it’s gansey he loves in such a physical concrete way and he cares so much i’m going to die

he gives blue his ghost light and stays behind in the dark he writes ‘remembered’ over where noah keeps writing ‘murdered’ he grabs from behind blue before she can slip without a thought he travels an hour to sleep alone at the barns so he doesn’t accidentally bring wasps from his dreams that could hurt gansey he risks prison and getting kicked out of school to save adam from his dad everyone calls him a snake but he dreams perfect little brothers and baby ravens into existence

It’s not a real OTP unless they try to kill each other at least once.
