Jawad the robot mascot ! 🤖👾🪮 (he/they) (yes the robot has pronouns)

The upper half of his face is a screen, and yes, it can play Bad Apple when rigged properly.

They are sort of like a sports mascot and Hatsune Miku combined; Jawad sings at halftime shows, but also is marketed everywhere as the face of a sports team/organization. The company behind Jawad is openly supportive of the LGBTQ+ community, and funds trans youth support programs.

New Astro Boy Reboot poster posted online (May 2026)

Shared to me through a source on Tumblr which wishes to be kept anonymous, a new poster for the current Astro Boy Reboot was shared by Mediawan Kids & Family's Linkedin page on May 21, 2026!

This is in anticipation for their event at Annecy Festival 2026 in France showing the work-in-progress (WIP) aspect of Astro Boy Reboot; the event will occur on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 9 AM to 10 AM Central European Time.

Most notably, Atom's (Astro's) character design has changed again, perhaps to take the criticism from fans to heart in order to improve his character design. What do you think about how he looks now?

Also, it appears that a city that looks very similar to Divercity from the original Caribara Animation version of Astro Boy Reboot is in the background of this poster. Perhaps a nod to the original version of Astro Boy Reboot?

A couple notes:

Green shirt Atom did not appear until the March 2015 teaser trailer, but it is possible that Atom's character design was decided in 2014 sometime after Astro Boy Reboot was first announced.

The 2024 version of Atom appeared after Thomas Astruc's departure from Astro Boy Reboot. It's not known exactly when Astruc departed from the project, but it happened before any visuals of the Mediawan version of Atom were shown to the public. Astruc's involvement began in 2022 and ended in either 2023 or early 2024.
