A blog named "confirm-page" tagged my sideblog (and various other blogs) in the comments under its post claiming that a "minor anomaly" was detected with my account, telling me to verify my account within 48 hours by clicking a random link.

I did not click the link, of course; I reported the account for phishing and then blocked it. Just wanted to share what it looked like in case anyone else encounters it and isn't sure whether it's legit or not! :)

Tumblr would NOT contact you through tagging you on a post like this (never will); they would contact you privately e.g. via email if there was an issue. If you're unsure of if something is actually from Tumblr, either report it (my preferred method) or look up which email address to contact Tumblr though, and use that to ask them if it's legit or not!

Hey, so, while I am always down to exchange ideas, welcome that on this blog and love it if either myself or others find inspiration here, I want to clarify (not just for anon but for everyone) that I don't do requests. In fact, I also can't recall ever saying that I do, outside of when I asked for suggestions for very specific mini series/challenges that have since concluded.

And frankly, I'm not sure how I feel about people assuming that, just because I chose to publish a smut fic I wrote for myself originally, I may be down to write what other people want to see. Especially when, outside of a handful of wonderful people who engage with my posts and fanworks, I'm entirely on my own with most of my projects these days and write only for myself as a consequence.

This is not a callout or an attack, and I understand that this ask is not saying "write this or else" but "I want to send you an idea", but for me at least the implication is that there is a certain hope/expectation for me to actually make something of that idea, and due to aforementioned reasons I'm not comfortable being approached with this attitude and don't want to set a precedent. I already had to make my suggestion rules stricter and was very clear about limiting it to specific projects because people were... not doing a good job of being respectful of my time, boundaries and interests.
