Day 9
September 23rd was the *100 days until the new year* mark. I was feeling really gung-ho about living these 100 days with a complete healthy lifestyle. Since then I have gone on 2 hikes, done leg ST with resistance bands once and have only stuck to the meal plan twice.
Idk what is wrong with me. I've been here before.. almost exactly two years ago.. then I dedicated 15 months to fitness and lost almost 18 lbs overall. I felt good and I looked good (in hindsight of course).
But then I quit. I couldnt handle a full time job, part time masters program, and a commited healthy lifestyle, IF i wanted to keep my social lifestyle.. which I did.
Since December '17 I have gained all the weight back. The difference between now and before is what I refer to as the Flowers for Algernon effect. I know it is possible to feel and look a different way. I have the tools and I know what it takes. I am not living in oblivious bliss anymore.
So WHY brain do we think its okay to eat garbage everyday? Or keep saying tomorrow? I cannot have everything I want right now.. so I have to choose..
But why did I really stop choosing my health and why can I not find that passion again?
