hmm….i guess it really depends what you wanna do. i just drew a lot…mostly fanart, but i always appreciate it when people like my ocs ;; i just drew what i liked basically. i like being discovered randomly…aka i don’t like flaunting my art to others unless they ask ^^;; so one way is to always share your art around others that like the same thing (or just art in general). tbh I didn’t even expect to get new followers when i got into ovw–it just kind of exploded.

so yeah sharing your art around is one way. even doing requests if you enjoy doing that (i used to do requests a lot before, mostly when I had DA back then, around 2005). just do what makes you feel comfortable and not stressed/rushed/forced. you can always make friends with other artists–I’M SORRY THIS IS SO GENERALISED. i honestly didn’t try to do anything… i just drew a lot, met other artists/people and just had fun. i kept drawing for 15 years…drawing to me is my life so i always just did it. there were a lot of ups and downs and i never got that much attention that time—for the longest time really. so when i hear people that knows me online, i’m always just so happy…never thought they’d know me (plus keeping the same online name really helps, it just became a weird nickname to me now).

that’s the only thing i can share with you, sadly. i never even thought of it tbh. sharing, making friends, and just drawing a lot, to me is what i did. i just waited and didn’t expect everything else to follow through.
