Over the years I have developed a couple methods of charging and activating sigils that I use in my practice, but I rarely ever share them publicly, because I believe that this process is very personal and based on the individualâs practice, type of sigil and intent of sigil. I also donât want to perpetuate any misconceptions by stating that these are the methods I use, which can be misconstrued to mean that they are the only correct methods to charge and activate sigils.
When I create a sigil for someone, we discuss what type of sigil they desire, be it a name/entity sigil, or intent sigil. After I create their sigil, based on their parameters, I send them the sigil. I explain to them, they arenât magical until they charge/activate them by reaching gnosis. If the customer doesnât know how to charge/activate or what gnosis is I provide them with a simple method that I use and a description of how to perform this act.
Just because I donât go into detail on each clientâs sigil or sigil request on here, doesnât mean I donât give them assistance on any concerns they might have about their sigil, or how they use them. It is just me respecting their privacy.
Additionally, if a sigil is not charged and activated by reaching gnosis, it merely becomes a non-magickal artwork/graphic symbol/design that I spent my time and skill creating - the magick is all on YOU. That is perfectly acceptable as well, as I have produced designs for customers that have been solely used as tattoos, logos and even roleplaying elements.
I just want to eliminate any assumptions being made in regards to my sigil crafting, as there has been a rise of emoji sigils and spirit shops, I want to be sure that people understand the level of critical awareness that goes into my personal practice and sigil crafting while still respecting my clientâs privacy and beliefs and my own.
