Lioness Profiles!

I am unfortunately too impatient for my own good, so while I don't have another art piece I do have all of the pride members references :) Tumblr only let's me do 10 images so I'll go with the lionesses first and the boys second. Let's do a quick and simple rundown, shall we?

Busara - "Wisdom"

Busara is the oldest lioness of the group, as well as the pride chief of Jumuiya. She's fit to her namesake, usually being the strategist and finisher behind all hunts. Who said brawns and brains don't go together?

Farasi - "Horse"

Jumuiya's resident healer. Farasi was named after her thin legs and skittish demeanor, back when her birth pride believed she wouldn't last longer than a week. She is clever and passionate for discovery, which can either go very well or very bad for her. Usually it's the former. (Also, she is fluent in Bird)

Windaji - "Hunter"

Windaji is a quiet lioness, only really ever talking directly to her mate, Ziwa. It's seldom a problem though, as quiet as she is, for it makes her a deadly stalker. For a lioness so tall, she is stealthy as can be and often startles not only prey, but sometimes even her pride mates.

Ziwa - "Lake"

The spirit of joy incarnate, Ziwa is Jumuiya's personal jester. She's fun, bubbly and hyperactive, always on the lookout for things to do, critters to chase and ponds to dive head-first into. Ziwa loves her pride mates and constantly strives to make them happy, especially her beloved girlfriend. She's also the fastest of the bunch, often filling the role of chaser during hunts.

OCs for a story I wanted to turn into a comic back in 2022-2023 but never did.

Heir to his tyrannical father's throne, Giza wishes to undo all the harm his father did to the kingdom of Ziwa after he passes away, both to the prides living in it as well as the rest of animals. A scary-looking guy with a gentle, kind heart underneath.

Zalika, born in a different pride to Giza's, was given the name Apizo upon birth. Born as a male, under circumtances that led to her father's death, her supersticious mother not only gave her the name Apizo, but also rejected her once she grew up to cub age and expressed her desire to reject her mane and name. Her mother then decided to ditch her before Giza, thinking the scary-looking king would get rid of her, but instead and to her surprise, the young cub was adopted by him. This would lead her to not only living a happier life, with someone who understood and cared for her, but she'd also succeed in embracing herself and changing her name.

Kulinda, her best older friend, had always been like a brother to her since she was little. He's very protective of her, and also got adopted into Giza's kingdom with his own parents' permission.
