When Zite was acquired by Flipboard in March of 2014, we promised to integrate Zite's recommendation technology into Flipboard. This process is now complete. Last year, Flipboard integrated the Zite topic engine, introducing over 30k topics for Flipboard users. Earlier this year, we integrated our collaborative filtering algorithms that provide the "magic" of Zite. Last month, Flipboard introduced the popular Zite feature of thumbing up and down articles to further personalize your home feed

This means that Zite will soon cease to exist as its own app. Starting December 7, the Zite app will no longer be available. If you’d like to keep your preferences, please migrate to Flipboard in the next week.

To migrate your preferences, tap the article at the top of your home feed in Zite and follow the steps. Once the migration is complete, your topics will appear as their own tiles in the “following” tab on Flipboard, and your thumbs will influence your personalization behind the scenes.

I know that nothing can replace your Zite experience, but we're proud of what we've built within Flipboard; the heart of Zite truly still exists. I hope that you'll give it a try and let us know how we can improve going forward.
