More Vision parties were always stupid.

Not bad stupid. Just…too much.

Too many people packed into one place, too much bass shaking the floor, too many half drunk producers yelling over each other like they were in a rap battle nobody asked for.

Jay Park was somehow thriving in it.

Of course he was.

You’d been at the party for maybe an hour now, sitting on the armrest of a couch with a drink in your hand while one of the LONGSHOT members lost his mind over the aux.

Someone switched the song.

Everyone booed immediately.

“You look miserable,” Ryul said, appearing beside you out of nowhere.

“I am miserable.”

“You’ve had one sip.”

“I hate crowded places.”

Ryul laughed quietly before stealing your drink straight from your hand.

That stupid grin stayed on his face while he handed the cup back to you.

You hated how good he looked tonight.

Simple black shirt, silver chain, rings catching under the flashing lights every time he moved his hands. Hair messy from dancing earlier. Pretty enough to genuinely irritate you.

And the worst part was that he knew it too.

Across the room, Jay was yelling at someone over music while recording on his phone at the same time.

“How is he doing both?” you muttered.

Before you could argue, Louis suddenly dropped onto the couch beside you both.

“Thank god,” he sighed dramatically. “He finally found you.”

Ryul already looked tired.

“Leave.”

“No because all night it’s been ‘where are they’ this and ‘did they leave already’ that—”

Ryul shoved him off the couch instantly while everyone nearby started laughing.

You looked over at him slowly.

“…You were looking for me?”

“No.”

“You absolutely were.”

He clicked his tongue.

“You ask too many questions.”

The member who exposed him was still laughing from the floor.

“Hyung was actually losing his mind—”

“Get out.”

You tried not to laugh.

Failed horribly.

Ryul looked at you the second you laughed, and something about his expression changed for a second.

Softer.

Like he liked hearing it more than he should.

The realization made your stomach feel weird.

So naturally, you looked away first.

Coward.

“Wanna get outta here?” Ryul asked suddenly.

You blinked.

“Like…leave?”

“No, genius. Balcony.”

“Oh.”

He laughed under his breath.

Five minutes later, the two of you were outside while muffled music shook faintly behind the closed doors.

The cold air hit immediately.

It felt nice after being trapped inside all that noise.

You leaned against the railing while Ryul stood beside you, way quieter now than he was inside.

The city lights stretched below the building, glowing gold against the dark.

For a second, neither of you said anything.

Then—

“You really were jealous earlier.”

You turned your head slowly.

“Oh my god.”

Ryul was smiling again.

“You kept staring at me.”

“I was observing.”

“Me.”

“The room.”

“Me.”

“You’re actually unbearable.”

“And you like me anyway.”

The words came out so casually that your brain stopped working for a full second.

Ryul noticed immediately.

His smile faded into something smaller this time.

Less teasing.

More real.

“…You do, don’t you?”

Your heart started acting ridiculous.

“You flirt with everyone,” you muttered instead.

“I don’t look at everyone like this.”

That one got you quiet.

Completely.

The music inside thumped faintly through the walls while Ryul stepped closer, slow enough for you to notice.

Close enough now that you could smell his cologne.

Close enough that looking anywhere except his face suddenly felt impossible.

“You get nervous every time I flirt with you,” he said softly.

“You make it impossible not to.”

Ryul blinked once, clearly not expecting you to actually admit that.

Then he laughed quietly.

Not teasing this time.

Almost surprised.

“That bad?”

“You have no idea.”

His hand brushed yours for a second before resting against the railing beside you instead.

Still close.

Still enough to make your chest tight.

Inside the party, people suddenly started screaming lyrics loud enough to hear from outside.

Jay Park was definitely involved somehow.

Ryul looked at you again.

And god, that look was dangerous.

“You know I’ve wanted to kiss you for like…” he paused dramatically, “an embarrassing amount of time.”

You laughed quietly despite yourself.

“Embarrassing how?”

“Need-to-be-studied psychologically kind of embarrassing.”

“That’s insane.”

“You’re worth it.”

Your stomach flipped so hard it genuinely annoyed you.

“You can’t just say things like that.”

“Why not?”

“Because you sound serious.”

“I am serious.”

The teasing disappeared completely after that.

Ryul stepped closer again until your shoulder touched his.

Neither of you moved away.

“Can I kiss you?” he asked quietly.

The fact that he asked so softly made your chest ache a little.

You nodded once.

That was enough.

Ryul kissed you carefully at first, one hand sliding lightly against your waist like he was scared to move too fast.

You grabbed his shirt immediately anyway.

Which made him smile against your mouth for half a second before kissing you properly again.

Warm.

Slow.

The kind of kiss that makes you forget there’s literally a party happening ten feet away.

Until—

The balcony door slammed open.

“RYUL, WOOJIN IS—”

Silence.

Ohyul and Wonin stood frozen in the doorway.

Louis appeared behind him.

Then Jay himself.

“Oh my god,” Jay whispered dramatically, grabbing someone’s shoulder. “I KNEW IT.”

You immediately pulled away while Ryul started laughing beside you.

“This is horrible,” you muttered, covering your face.

“No actually this is amazing,” Ohyul said.

Woojin already had his phone out.

“Delete that right now.” Ryul told him.

Jay looked way too proud of himself.

“I’ve been saying there was tension for MONTHS.”

“You act like this is your accomplishment,” you said.

“It is.”

Ryul was still laughing quietly beside you, shoulders shaking while the others completely lost their minds in the background.

Then he leaned closer again, completely ignoring everyone else.

“Told you you liked me back.”

You stared at him.

“…Shut up.”
