ZINE BASH #06: ALL THE SMALL THINGS [@zinebash] ‘Our Childhood Dollhouse’

An easy one for me - queen of the small things - going back to my roots of spending countless hours at my plethora of dollhouses - one at each of my many estates (grandparents houses).

For Zine Bash 06: All the Small Things.

we're now accepting all your tiny booklets about tiny things!

ZINE BASH 06: ALL THE SMALL THINGS is now officially live and accepting submissions from december 10th to jaunary 15th! (we started a bit late but you've still got your usual full month to make some cool stuff!)

we're running fully online this zine bash so no physical copies - but we'll be here spreading the zine love online reblogging finished zines, wips and other related work by our zinesters - just tag us!

just make a mini zine, a small booklet made with a sheet of folded paper (check out our resources page for more info) , using our prompt and prompt guide! post it - starting december 10th post your mini zines, tag us and use #zinebash06 so we can reblog and share submit it! use our submission form to submit it directly to zine bash so you can be added to the online gallery for viewing and download!

-> finally finished my zine for 'all the small things' on @zinebash ! concept: little piano riffs to vamp 'til infinity (+ qr code links to mp3 demos!)

this was a blast to work on. i was motivated by a need to share some of the short piano riffs i've written that haven't been developed into full songs/pieces. my design inspo: all the illustrated method books i've used to learn & teach music over the years.

i've submitted this zine in the correct orientation for archive on the zinebash blog, but anyone who would like a printable version rn can find it on my drive here (just fold & cut like you would for any traditional 8-pg letter-size zine) xx

My submission for @zinebash #6 - "All The Small Things"

No one who knows me will be surprised that when I saw this prompt I immediately defaulted to thinking about small birds, and there are no birds smaller than hummingbirds! Funnily enough I also recently went to an exhibition about birds at the natural history museum and ended up learning a lot about hummingbirds, and so I ended up making an informational zine about all the reasons they're such fantastic animals. Hope you all enjoy learning some fun bird facts!

my submission for jack's 'all the small things' @zinebash i spent ages thinking about what small things were interesting to me, and i realised i really love tiny flowers so chose that as my subject! i tried to really create a scrapbook feeling and loosen up with the text as my submissions usually tend to veer away from being personal

this also really got me in the mood to start pressing and drying flowers again lol
