zine bash #08: FLIGHT is happening AUGUST 1-31st, and we want YOU to come make & read mini zines!
🛩️ mini zines are single sheets of paper folded into small booklets, and filled with whatever you want! as usual, our event theme is open to your own interpretation, and we welcome any and all mediums/genres/styles.
🪶 FLIGHT is a main event, which means that in addition to reblogging zines you post & tag us in, we'll have a submission form open if you would like your zine included in our online gallery pages and printable collections.

Interactive zine for the @zinebash interactive challenge! A double-sided minizine designed to loop/sort of read backwards and trap this poor jogger in a torment nexus. Unless! You follow their instructions, unfold the zine, and flip it over to give them a break. A very fun challenge to do, so thanks to the organizers for letting me turn in a little late. ZINE BASH CHALLENGE #02: INTERACTIVE [@zinebash] ‘Choose your own Adventure’
Welcome Adventurer! Within 14-pages of action-packed quests and interactions you get to choose your own adventure! Or rather… pick one of the nine possible fates I have created for you… Sort of more like the length of a ‘which character are you?’ type quiz, rather than the endless possibilities a full-blown book would offer - but an adventure nonetheless!
I’ll link a printable copy as soon as I can give this baby a test-print, although it still constitutes as a one-page zine there is some finagling to get the two-sides lined up - keep your eyes peeled!

zine(s) for the @zinebash interactive challenge — a purposefully janky and ungainly game for one, simulating a morning with my particular patterns of ocd or ocd-like thought-spiraling.
'playing' only the first zine is intended to reflect a relatively calm mind, while playing with both zines derails the morning through multiple unplanned spirals of scrupulous thoughts.
I made a zine!! It’s a lil choose your own adventure created for the current @zinebash challenge: interactive! Very excited to see what other folks come up with!
I wasn’t able to get a proper scan yet but I plan to upload one asap so folks can download and print their own copies. Check back here for that in the near future!

Hi! I just saw the theme for november unfortunately ... when will the next zinebash event be?
the next challenge event (2-week period with a very specific theme/ subject/style/etc prompt) is tentatively planned for february, and the next regular event (month-long period with a broader/open-ended theme) is tentatively planned for may! details and themes still to be determined :)
but if you still want to make a playlist zine -- or a zine based on any of our past events -- feel free to tag us when you post and we'd be happy to reblog it!
