Pretty crazy adventure, last saturday. I was on stage in the Ziggo Dome Amsterdam, together with #barryhay, #dannyvera and #jbmeijers, as part of the 'Fieste de la Vida' concert. I played guitar (electric, acoustic and banjo), sang harmonies and did lead vocal on a cover: 'Get ready' by Rare Earth.

We haven’t disappeared, and we have no intentions of cancelling. Tmblrvision Song Contest 2020 will be back!

We have decided not to move up the contest earlier despite the c*ncellation of the song contest that inspired this one, mainly because some of the rules (particularly regarding song eligibility) would have to be revised not just this year, but in succeeding years as well. Also, there are a lot of official and unofficial replacement shows anyway, so it’s not like nothing is happening.

In any case, we are happy to announce preliminary details of Tmblrvision 2020!

HOST CITY, SLOGAN, AND LOGO

The header photo already reveals everything you need to know about this year’s contest! The host city is “De stad waar alles kan”: AMSTERDAM!

The slogan this year is POWER OF THE RAINBOW. Rainbows symbolize peace, hope, and inclusivity, three things that this contest hopes to embody, particularly in these trying times. We draw power from these three qualities and hope that the Tmblrvision Song Contest delivers it to you this year.

The logo draws inspiration from previous (and current) logos from the song contest that inspired this one. It is made up of several different shapes, and although these are all different and separated by a bit of space, they all come together to form a single symbol of unity. The waves in the background represent many things, from the flow of the water in the canals of the host city, to the sensation of listening to different kinds of music.

VENUE

We are pleased to announce that this year, we’re going big. With a capacity of up to 17000 people, this year’s venue is the biggest so far in the history of the Tmblrvision Song Contest. Amsterdam welcomes you to experience the power of the rainbow at the Ziggo Dome!

HOSTS

Two hosts who have once collaborated together will come together once more to host this big event. The first host is the talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before YouTuber, NikkieTutorials!

The other host is some other famous person.

DATES

We know you’re all looking forward to the show, but when is it happening? Well, you all have two months to start thinking about things, figuring out which song would light the scoreboard on fire, which country will move you, and whether or not you will say yes, say yes, SAY YES to Tmblrvision! Here is the planned timetable for the Tmblrvision Song Contest 2020:

11-13 July: Country Reservation (48 hours) 19 July: Song Submission Deadline 20 July: Draw Revealed 25 July: Live Song Reveal Show 5 August: Voting Deadline 8 August: Live Results Show
