Zerozaku
When it comes to figuring out what Suzaku is told in preparation to be Zero, there's a lot that comes to mind.
The main headcanon I have is that leaving this Zero as a "Ghost" is the only revenge Lelouch allows him because for a guy with trust issues, he tends to easily forgive harm to himself. Harm to those he cares about less so, but the Betrayal was more about him and he knows very well Rolo made the choice himself to save him to the point of killing himself.
So Zerozaku knows everything. An uncanny amount that freaks out the OG Black Knights and anyone who has known Zero long enough. Even those that suspect or correct guess right on who is the new Zero are unnerved and find themselves questioning how this Zero knows all this.
Except...there's Saitama. Saitama is a special situation where everyone involved on Zero's side in that fray is dead or C.C. herself. So Lelouch, partly in shame of how stupid his choice was there, uses some Exact Words about the situation.
So Zerozaku thinks C.C.'s rescue of Zero there was entirely planned by Lelouch and her as an escape route. He does not know of the one very stupid choice Lelouch made early into his work as Zero.
(We are ignoring stuff like the Chinese Federation arc because that is just poor writing all the way through.)
Needless to say, in time travel set ups where Zerozaku is there for Saitama that tends to be something that really upsets him to find out was really just luck and C.C.'s own choice to save Lelouch for her selfish reasons that he survived that. He's going to flip his lid.
Which is always fun to consider because this has often consequences on what Zerozaku decides to do...
I just love them so much, okay
Now I can't help but imagine Lelouch watching the wedding video and how Suzaku smears cake on the mask. I wonder if he would find it funny or be upset that Suzaku made such a silly mistake.
I think he would find it funny... 😂 On top of thinking that it was kind of ridiculous that Suzaku forgot about the helmet covering his whole head... He also wears a black mask underneath that thing soooo... No eating. 💀💀

One day after Requiem
Zerozaku: and you know what the worst part is?
C.C: that you’re having to process your emotional pain without Lelouch for the rest of your life?
Zerozaku: no.
C.C: You hug Lelouch's pillow. And you wear his school uniforme's vest.
Zerozaku: yes.
I just //clenches fist. Really love zerozaku,,,,
