watched code geass and it was the most empty-headed anime i've ever seen
Y'know when I say "these 2 are the most interesting morally grey characters I come across in fiction" I then show you these 2 that are such a total whiplash & tone but it's one of the reasons why I find them very fascinating as characters
haha like penetration

excerpt from the poem “the five stages of grief” by linda pastan
Zero (Code Geass)
Code Geass and Resident Evil Writing Prompt
Suzaku goes missing after they get teleported to Shikine Island. There are signs of a scuffle, traces of a liquid that was identified to be Kururugi's blood, and a broken syringe. Princess Euphemia launches a search party for her lost Knight, the Black Knights aiding the search. They don't find him.
Months pass. Then a full year. Euphemia finally launches the SAZ, hoping maybe, maybe it will lead them to Suzaku. Right around the construction period, a clue appears.
Racoon City and Umbrella Corp. Someone had released information, files and photos about Umbrella and their experiments, including slightly redacted information on the experiment victims. Kururugi Suzaku, codenamed K7-00 or Seven for short, his file and photo, stare back at the people. The Japanese people shake with rage over what was done to their Hope.
People all over the world shake with rage and grief as they learn that Umbrella had not only been responsible for over half of the missing people in the last several decades and had experimented on them, but their so-called miracle cures were because of said experiments and all the diseases they cured were because of them in the first place.
In Justice's name, The Black Knights storm Umbrella HQ in Raccoon City to find Umbrella already in the process of falling, monsters running rampant, and a feral Kururugi Suzaku killing monsters, not recognizing any of them, and tearing out the throats of Umbrella soldiers. Turns out Suzaku was the one to leak the info just before he went fully feral. Luckily, he wasn't infected, he's immune. Unluckily, Suzaku might have been blinded, his eyes don't seem to focus on any of them and they have no pupil, but his senses are heightened and he seems to recognize Zero - like his true identity from his smell and touch. Or perhaps he isn't blind but simply lost all hope for freedom and that is why his eyes seem so dead despite his feral nature.
In his state of ferality, he doesn't speak. Mostly sounds like growls and whimpers leave his throat,, When he does speak, it's in short words and all in Japanese- often broken up or even incomplete sentences, making it difficult to understand him when he does speak. Zero (Lelouch), Kallen, and Tohdoh come the closest to understand his broken incomplete sentences.
The Black Knights work on ending Umbrella and gaining Feral Suzaku's trust enough to lead them to any survivors, experiments or civilians, to save them. To gain Feral Suzaku's trust enough to save him and return him home.
The military arrive to nuke the city overrun by monsters.
