This tabletop cooking set is crafted for cooking and serving yudofu or hot pot tofu. Yudofu is a simple and traditional tofu dish created by Buddhist monks who lived in the Kyoto area. Yudofu can be served with any dipping sauces and garnishes such as ponzu, mentsuyu and goma dare (sesame sauce).

湯豆腐鍋 // Yudofu Hot Pot A really simple dish with just vegan kombu stock, mizuna greens, enoki mushrooms, green onion, and tofu. It looks really mild (because it is), but I ate every bite with momiji oroshi, which is grated daikon with red chili, and that really is a wonderful combination.

Look at this! At my latest Rotary lunch I got yudofu (among others), and it came in such a special heating ‘device’ :D The heating thing was on the right side of the wood dish and there’s dashi on top - for me konbu and soy souce. You had to put the green veggies into the pot, and later fish everything into a separate dish, pour dashi on it and eat. It was ‘just’ tofu, but this type of serving made it look pretty amazing :D Of course it was served in a right-handed way, so I had to be careful not to accidentally touch the heater while I was fishing for the stuff inside ^^;;;
