HiPOD: Cold Dunes, Cold Planet
This observation features dunes at high latitude with frost well into summer. This image footprint is in Planum Boreum at the South Pole of Mars. With this picture, we can acquire repeat observations to track changes over time.

" The Helix Nebula (also known as NGC 7293 or Caldwell 63) is a planetary nebula located in the constellation Aquarius. Discovered by Karl Ludwig Harding, most likely before 1824, this object is one of the closest of all the bright planetary nebulae to Earth. It lies about 650 light-years away. The Helix Nebula was formed by an intermediate- to low-mass star that shed its outer layers near the end of its stellar evolution. The remnant core, known as the central star of the planetary nebula, is on its path to becoming a white dwarf. Its intense ultraviolet radiation excites the previously expelled gas, causing it to fluoresce and produce the nebulaâs characteristic glow. Curiosity Rover's damaged wheels after 13 years, or 7.25 Martian years of service on the Red Planet. All images taken in March 23, 2026.
The wheels have some slots cut into them, which serve a very important function by letting dirt and rocks that accumulate inside the open sided wheel a pathway to fall out. They also leave a very specific tred pattern so that the cameras can be used to check if a wheel is dragging or not. Some of the slots are elongated and some short. It was designed specifically to write out in Morse code:
.--- / .--. / .-..
It spells out JPL! And like that, the Gale crater's surface may be stamped with JPL's name.

John Lennon's scathing letter to Paul and Linda in response to a letter from Linda, which has not been shared to date. In this letter, we see John trying to talk around Linda to Paul. John also makes sure to share his prediction that Paul and Linda's relationship will only last two years. Est. 1971. Transcription below the cut.
Saturnâs Famous Hexagon !
This colorful view from NASA's Cassini mission is the highest-resolution view of the unique six-sided jet stream at Saturn's north pole known as "the hexagon."

The tiny image sensor inside your phone camera is basically space tech. NASA wanted smaller, low-power cameras for interplanetary missions, and that work at JPL helped create the CMOS active pixel sensor now used in almost all phone cameras.
