It was obvious that Greg was an emotional boy, Though he'd tend to keep it hidden from his peers and even his own parents in fear of being made fun of he didn't want to 'ruin the Reaper family name by being a Sissy' like his dad would tell him so here he was alone with his uncle unable to hold in his tears anymore. "I-I jus' feel like everyone expects s-so much from meeee!" He'd speak between jobs and hiccups.
Theo knew a thing or two about having too much pressure on one’s shoulders about who or what they were. Considering who his brother was, that could only lead up to a lot of questions and comments. People even holding you in too high a regard for what you were supposed to be like and how you were to act.
He couldn’t imagine what it was like to have those expectations forced more due to the Grim Reaper himself being your father.
That is why Theo always let his nephew come to him, why he put aside the teacher act and the professional reaper to just.. be an uncle. Be there for his sobbing and hiccuping nephew, and to certainly keep this all a secret from his brother unless given full consent to talk to him about it.
Theo’s hand moved softly towards Greg, placing a comforting hand to his shoulder. He let the young male sob and cry, for as long as he would need to vent and release the pent-up emotions the other had. He would be there to give a comforting back pat, or even a hug to let the other knew he was not alone and could come to him.
“I know what you mean, Greg. I can’t imagine the exact pressure your under, but I can tell you, don’t expect it from me. You deserve to be a kid, to enjoy life while you can and not have to worry about the stress of who your father is.” He shifted his head to look down to his nephew. “If you ever need to get away from the stress, pressure or even just your father in general, you’re welcome to spend some time at my house. I have a guest bedroom free, you can stay there and just, be a kid.”
