Yemós
Also found as Yemo. Their name means "Twin" or "Double"
Yemós is the ruler of the afterlife or Underworld (Dhubnóm). They are the deity of the dead and may be prayed to by those about to die, or on behalf of those who have just died. Yemós is also characterized as bigender.
Yemós is not the deity of death, however. They are the one who rules over the dead, but they do not make them die, or decide when they will.
Yemós is the twin of Mónus or Mánnus and both are the protagonists of the Proto Indo-European creation myth:
Proto Indo-European creation myth
From the primeval chaos (G̑hā́nos) eventually emerged the universal principle of order, the Ártus. From these two emerged a cosmic egg, the Olyōwyóm. After it hatched three beings came into existance: Ammādhēinús, the primeval cow; and the twins Yemós and Mónus. Ammadheinús then nourished the two twins.
Eventually, Mónus sacrificed Ammadheinús and his own twin Yemós. Mónus then dismembers the body of Yemós and uses the parts to create the world: Their skull becomes the sky; their body the earth; their hair the trees and grass; their blood the rivers and seas; their brain the clouds; their bones the mountains and stones, etc. From Ammadheinús' body came all animal life.
From their sacrifice, Yemós became the first to die and also the first immortal, becoming the first deity after their sacrificial death, ruler of the underworld and of the dead, of which they are the first. Mónus became the first priest, the first king and the first mortal. From Mónus all humans descend.
After their sacrifice, Yemós begot the twelve primordial deities, the G̑hṃg̑ṇ̄tṓs, from which in turn descend the Deiwṓs and from which descend the Amséwes and all the lesser deities. So Yemós is the ancestor of all deities.

Also suggestive are Homer's remarks on the ruler of the Elysian field, as contained in the "Odyssey" 4.561-9, where Proteus prophesies to Menelaos: "It is not ordained by the Gods for You, O Menelaos, beloved of Zeus, To die in the Argive fields and reach Your fate, But the immortals will lead You to the Elysian field At the ends of the earth, where fair-haired Rhadamanthys dwells And where life is most free from care for men. There is neither snow, nor much of cold, nor rain, But always Okeanos rouses blasts Of the whistling-breathed Zephyr to cool men, For You possess Helen and the the Gods You are son-in-law of Zeus." Two mortals are thus said to inhabit this paradisal field: Rhadamanthys and Menelaos. The association of the former with the Otherworld is quite common in Greek lore, while that of the latter is more unusual, calling for the explanation on Homer's part that it is as husband of the divine Helen that He merits His place in Elysium. But whatever Their differences, the two have several features in common. Both are kings, both are primordial culture heroes, and both are twins, although this last point is open to some debate. For His part, Rhadamanthys is born of the union of Zeus with Europa, along with Minos- whose name has been compared with that of Mánu- and, according to some accounts, Sarpedon. Since Zeus mated with Europa only once, it is clear that Rhadamanthys must be one of a set of twins or triplets, depending on whether or not the third brother is included. As for Menelaos, He is most frequently treated as the younger brother of Agamemnon, but an important passage from Aiskhylos ("Agamemnon" 40-6) points to another conclusion: "This is the tenth year since Priam's Great adversary, Menelaos the King and Agamemnon- Twin-throned and twin-sceptered, by Zeus' grace, Firm in their fame, the twin Atreides- Put forth from these lands A thousand Argive ships." This testimony alone is not enough to afford certainty, and the Greek evidence in general has been much transformed as a result of the rich synthesis among Indo-European, Old European, and Near Eastern mythologies, but there is clearly evidence to suspect that Kronos, Rhadamanthys, and Menelaos alike may have all succeeded to the position of the earlier Indo-European Lord of the Dead, whose name was *Yemo, "the twin".
