Yamazakura - Piano rendition
Here is my piano rendition of the song Yamazakura which was the theme song of the movie, Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop (Cider no You ni Kotoba ga Wakiagaru)
Composer: Kensuke Ushio; Director: Kyohei Ishiguro
Can we take a moment to appreciate this anime film? It’s so cute! I just finished watching it, it’s on Netflix if anyone is interested. The length of this movie is a little over an hour.
The plot is something I haven’t seen before in anime, and I think it’s really unique. This boy who goes by the name “Cherry” works at a nursing home of some sort and helps the older people who reside there. He meets a girl and they become friends, but what draws them together is a record. One of the older people who are at the nursing home are looking for a record, which they have lost a long time ago.. So, the two kids begin their search!
The art in this anime is so vibrant, it’s like eye candy! I really enjoyed this, it keeps the viewer captivated.. Although at times it does tend to drag on, I think. It’s still worth watching! The characters are so well written, and you can slowly see the character development which I think is something that is hard for a lot of shows/anime to capture. Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop reminds me of another anime on Netflix called “Great Pretender”… Though, this is mainly based off the art style. Great Pretender is also another one I suggest haha!!
The song I’ve added at the top is the record if you’d like to hear it. I think it’s a really cute song! <3
Yamazakura, I like the leaves you’ve hidden
Yamazakura, I like those cute teeth of yours
Yamazakura, I like cute words, too
Yamazakura, I like cute fireworks, too
Yamazakura, I like you Smile
