A simple and sensible idea for modulating random encounters: Sticking to the road means no encounters, going through the proverbial tall grass makes it skyrocket.
ehhh, i dunno if thatād really work for this game. itād basically either mean that A) certain areas are blocked by patches of mandatory ārandomā encounters, defeating the purpose of the modular encounter rate; or B) the monster-infested tiles are avoidable and you have to intentionally trigger every fight, changing it from a surprise encounter to the player goingĀ āeh, i guess i wouldnāt mind doing a fight nowā
