A few years ago, I got inspired by California’s Great America SR1 teaser they had leading up to Railblazer’s reveal where they created a map/timeline of all the coasters from the parks past and present. After Maxx Force opened in 2019, I thought to myself, “Whats next for my home park Six Flags Great America?” My park has been getting massive investments the past few years starting with the addition of X Flight. Originally I called this timeline I made the Path to 2021 as I thought a new coaster would be coming in 2021 since the Tsunami Surge water coaster would open in 2020. But of course, Covid-19 delayed Tsunami Surge’s construction and opening to 2021 and nothing is coming to Great America next year in 2022 as of how things seem. But who knows, maybe in 2023 or 2024. This timeline includes all coasters from Six Flags Great America’s 45 years of operation from defunct and present.

(NOTE: Turn of the Century I know technically is not defunct as it still exists but was altered and modified into the Demon. Also finding a logo for Gulf Coaster was almost impossible because of how forgotten and rare pictures of the coaster was as it only operated less than a year during the parks opening year of 1976. I found the only photo of the coaster’s sign from a Facebook post from GreatAmericaParks.com and photoshopped it from there.)
