🍁1. The flower dripped red as she pulled it closer to her lips. The air was crisp and she noticed it in the mist.

🍂2. “...hold your breath.” they whispered. The echoes from its steps crept through the leaves. 

🍁3. The pumpkin grew bright as it slithered closer to the children.

🍂4. The room was frozen as she let it in once again.

🍁5. Her teeth fell one by one into the fallen leaves. It was happening again and there was nothing she could do.

🍂6. The cat’s eyes grew as it saw it hovering over their owner.

🍁7. Silence surrounded him as he realized he was the secret ingredient for her special cider.

🍂8. Its screams engulfed her head as she realized it was right behind her. 

🍁9. The house wasn’t hunted after all. Only the being that crept within the halls.

Every month I try and have one day dedicated solely to writing creatively. I might work entirely on one project that day or lots of different things. I was planning on having my day of writing for this month next Friday but I’ve been hit by a bout of inspiration today so I’m having my day of writing today! 

Feel free to join me, let me know if you’re writing too - share with me all your pain and worries or excitement and inspiration! Let’s just talk about writing! I’ll keep checking in here once every hour or so and updating with my current word count for the day. My aim for today is to hit 5,000 words. What’s yours?

(I’m gonna try and actually set a specific date to do this every month from now on but... life. We’ll see how it goes!) 

As surely as the cold touches of my waves

 I hope to love you as I stay 

My deepest desires have put out your fires

 But turned your gaze into somber days 

I drawn to make you feel black days 

Hoping and wishing you would chase

 The inner fogs that turned a maze

 To a very balsamic and winter phase

 I hope to beat you at this game 

That turned us both into summer's fade

 Deliciously you walked to pace 

Quickly trying to get away

 But I'll never let you find another 

Or walk your days with someone under 

The scene of which helped pave the way 

For you to ask me, "If I stay?"

In truth we know what we have due 

But choose to plunder with anew 

Farewell my deepest wrongful lover I took your days 

And gave you slumber
