my magnum opus
hfjoners i drew on wplace in poland. someone recognised them :)
Wplace makes me really sad actually. Like, it was this close to being a really cool project, and I was super excited to see and build my own art. But the moderation team just dropped the ball at every possible step and it's turning into a shithole faster and faster. Making art of any size in a place people can see it is damn near impossible due to the sheer level of griefers because there are no repercussions for anything. They shut down the discord and the subreddit, which are the only two ways many people could report griefing and rule breaking, and the slow rollout of the report feature hasn't hit like 60% of the community. And even the lucky few that have it say the staff doesn't do anything anyway. Like, the team wanted rules and moderation, but they're putting absolutely 0 time and resources into it. I understand its way bigger than they anticipated, but like, their response to being overwhelmed is to just give up, and use the one staff member who was vocal about the issues as a scapegoat.
