The Golden Gate, a Close Call & Our Last Night on the Road | Heather Day 10 Day 10 of America 250: Two Wheels, One Nation is packed with incredible scenery, unforgettable people, and a few moments that remind you just how unpredictable life on the road can be. Today's ride takes us from Donner Pass through Auburn and into San Francisco, where we finally get to experience one of America's most iconic landmarks—the Golden Gate Bridge. From there, we explore Fisherman's Wharf, stroll through the legendary streets of Haight-Ashbury, and discover why San Francisco is unlike any other city we've visited on this journey. Of course, no visit would be complete without a stop for the city's world-famous sourdough. A legendary bread bowl, a little history, and one of the best meals of the trip easily earned a perfect 10 out of 10. Not every mile was easy. California's famous lane-splitting traffic turned into one of the most nerve-racking rides of the entire adventure as we filtered through miles of stopped traffic following a major accident. It's one of those moments that reminds you how quickly conditions can change and why staying focused on a motorcycle matters. This episode also features a wonderful conversation with a father and daughter touring America together on their Gold Wing—a reminder that the best part of any road trip is often the people you meet along the way. We also share an update on Emily, whose courageous journey continues to inspire everyone following this ride. As we pull into Lebec, California for our final night before reaching the finish line, it's hard not to reflect on everything this journey has become. Golden Gate, a 7-Hour Detour & Chasing the American Dream | Chris Day 10 Day 10 of America 250: Two Wheels, One Nation proves that the best stories are often the ones you never planned. What started as a simple ride from Donner Pass into San Francisco quickly turned into one of the biggest detours of the entire trip. Instead of sticking to the schedule, we made the decision to ride nearly seven hours out of the way to visit Mike from Kiwi Indian—a man whose journey to America perfectly represents the spirit of this project and the American Dream. From the towering beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge to the legendary streets of Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco delivered unforgettable moments. Along the way, we sampled iconic sourdough, enjoyed a meal at one of the city's historic restaurants, and soaked in the culture that makes the Bay Area unlike anywhere else. But this episode also shows the reality of life on the road. Long miles, changing plans, tight deadlines, and the challenge of capturing America's story one stop at a time. By the end of the day, we've crossed more than 4,000 miles, and with only one day remaining, the finish line is finally in sight.
