[ Azula cornered by wolf!Katara during the DOBS. ] Azula: Oh, what large teeth you have. [ Wolf!Katara tries to attack her. ] Azula: I mean white sparkling teeth! I know you probably hear this all the time from your food but you must bleach for something because that is one dazzling smile you got there. And do I detect a hint of minty freshness? And you know what else? You know what- [ Wolf!Katara returns to human form. ] Azula: You’re a girl! I mean of course you’re a girl! Cause you’re just reeking of beauty.

AU - Azulon realizes Ozai is plotting against him and turning Azula against him much, much earlier. So, when Ursa gives birth to their third child who proves to be almost on level with Azula when she was born, Azulon orders Azula and Ozai to be killed. Azula and Ozai (and somehow Zuko too) flee the palace and end up in the Earth Kingdom. While trying to figure out a next move, they meet a Water Tribe mother and her two children fleeing from their home as well.

[ Giant wolf Katara looking at Azula. ] Azula: I want to pet her. Sokka: You’re going to lose a hand. Azula: I want to pet her! Sokka: She will try and eat you. Azula: I don’t care! Sokka: You should. Azula: Danger floof! Sokka: Yes...emphasis on the danger. Azula: I don't care. She's fluffy. Sokka: Fine, but I don't think Katara will feel like healing you after she rips off your hand.

Azutara AU - Azula runs away from home after her father tries to marry her off and ends up in a storm and stranded in the South Pole. At night, a large brown wolf with blue eyes visits her in her cave. Azula doesn’t know whether it’s sad that this wolf is her first friend is three years or a stroke of luck because the wolf always brings food.

[ Azula on cactus juice messing with wolf!Katara ] Zuko: Azula! Azula: What? Zuko: That is a-that is a predator. Azula: She's not a predator. Zuko: What are you…? Azula: We’re bloopin. [ Starts playing with her face. ] Bloop bloop bloop bloop bloop bloop.
