            weary limbs trudge forth, despite their creaks and moans of protest, his footsteps heavy on the trodden path  ---  almost home.  but ‘home’ seems a hollow concept without the warmth of love’s embrace to return to, nor the chime of laughter to draw him in from the day’s work.  how long has it been now?  months or years would hardly matter. loneliness such as this remains stagnant, oblivious to the passage of time  ... and yet he marks the days, each night another tick added to their bedpost   (  theirs always  ). 

            he can discern the tavern by the hustle and bustle that draws close, accompanied by the faint musk of ale and unwashed warriors.  perhaps he wastes too much time in that place, drowning heavy thoughts in the bottom of a flagon, but it welcomes him enough to suffice for now.  a faint smile tugs at the corner of his mouth and he pauses just shy of the doors.  the day’s hard won battles have left him with a musk of his own, but surely no riper than his fellow patrons  ---  it’s a boisterous crowd tonight, by the raucous laughter and the clang of toasting drinks. 

            he reaches for the door, his palm tracing a path along its splintered wood ‘til cool metal meets his fingertips and he grasps the handle.  it opens with a wide arch that floods with smells and noise, the latter of which seems to die at his approach.  his boots fall loudly upon the stone floor as conversations fizzle out all around him and his senses hone in   ------  a fresh and pleasant aroma tinged with spices, the smooth lilt of a chuckle in its final note.  though he dares not to hope, it wells up within him. 

            heat blossoms at his face and ears, sweat coating his calloused palms. if his heart were to beat any harder, it would surely break free from his chest  ...  but it simply can’t be.

So the purpose of this meme is to give a little info on your muses without having to rely on others to fill your ask with meme questions. I know how disappointing it can be to come back to an empty ask so I wanted to create a meme that anyone and everyone can do (mun and muse).

1. What is your favorite word?

“Mi’nas’sal’in. it’s hard  to explain it’s meaning in Common. It represents the feeling of missing something which is extremely dear to the heart. It’s a feeling that I have often, unfortunately.” 

2. What is your least favorite word?

“Revas.  Do not misunderstand me, it is not what the word represents that I hate but how often it’s used by People that do not understand it’s meaning. You do not know how many people took that word as a name in less fortunate times and tainted that word forever."

3. What turns you on?

“Strength, and I do not only speak about physical strength.  ”

4. What turns you off?

“Annoying and loud behaviours.”

5. What sound do you love?

“When there’s a storm, which is not as common as one would expect, in Rivain. There are some cliffs where you  can hear the waves crashing against the rocks. It’s the best sound in the world.”

6. What sound do you hate?

“The sound of rattling chains.”

7. What is your favorite curse word?

“Nuva uralas telsyl na i’ga syl nyel laimem. “

8. What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?

“I am quite unsure if what I do can be considered a profession. I already do what I always wanted to do, but if I had to chose another I would become a hunter of wild prey.”

9. What profession would you not like to do?

“There’s not one profession that I would not like to do if I really needed to do it. As long as I am able to operate without having the spot light directly on me, I would be fine with it.“

10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God(s) say when you arrive at the pearly gates?

Her hands tremble slightly as she laces her fingers on top of her legs. There was much she wished that it was said. That she had done her duty well, that she would now be protected from the beasts that hounded her all her life. If she would indeed hear those words ever? She did not know, the weight of Arlathan’s fall still weight heavily.

1. Something most people don’t know about you?

“I still have a notebook with drawings from the times where I traveled with my company. Before joining the Temple of Falon’din. I have many portraits there of People that have perished since then, I have portraits of my God and His twin soul. I often look at them, it’s hard and it hurts but someday I’ll have more than drawings to remind me of better times.”

2. Sexual Preference?

“A few ages years ago I would say that it depended on the target of the contract. Now I chose to not answer it.“

3. What position do you sleep in?

“I don’t usually sleep. But if I must, I tend to lay down on my chest to the left side.”

4. What if someone told you…you HAD to lose, just this one time?

“I don’t have to do anything, unless I wish to do it.”

5. Greatest fear?

Her lips twist slightly. She could imagine the bindings and chains that held the voices in her skull crawling breaking. Her skin would change as her nature altered itself to fit the needs of a beast that had no business on her skeletal bones. Her voice would never go back to the tender tones and her voices would no longer resemble the starless nights. She feared that her claws would no longer be her own and the flames of the rage that burnt inside her lungs would tear her organs and skin apart. That it would tear everything apart. She blinked and gave a small smile, fingers held tightly.

“I fear a great many things, but what they are don’t matter in the end.”

6. If you could leave one thing to be remembered by, what would it be?

"I do not wish to be remembered. I am no one, nothing. All of what I’ve done it’s in Falon’din’s name.”

7. If you could give words of advice to someone, what would they be?

“I am definitely the last person that should be giving advice considering how much I have failed in my life time. I am not able to give advice, not on serious matters or matters that do not involve fighting, but... If I must give advice, was to not try and hide the sorrow and weight of your past, it will only weight you down. Wear it as a badge of honour and continue marching.“

8. What’s your middle name?

"I don’t have a name, much less a middle name.”
