#wip problems

i distinctly remember thinking “this new plot idea is genius.”

Current WiPs:

- Shassie Choose Your Own Adventure becoming a couple in chapter one and then it can end two or three ways ranging from epic downer to moderately ok to HEA-ish

- Loki whump where I legit just want to hurt someone and that poor god is the only one in my head that can live through it. I’m gonna give him an IronFrost HEA though if I ever finish it.

- Johnlocked with John kidnapped and a race against time and I haven’t decided if it’s actually slash or not.

- Lumione where she’s 30, he’s 56ish and not a dick. Smut eventually probably.

- Drarry with Draco whump

- Mobius idea that’s barely an idea but … ugh.

- Tomarry long fic with hours of timelines and research already put in.

- Jedtavius story set after the first Night at the Musem and ignoring the other three movies I haven’t seen. Pre-slash to slash.

- Stucky one shot based off of the lyrics of an old Chicago song (don’t come at me, I know they’re from New York but I think the lyrics work.)

- original story called SCum Sucker

- original story about zombies

- Diagnosis Murder fic with the detective and one of the doctor’s pairing up.

- maybe OC / maybe Kylux brutal dark “romance”

- original lovers lost and found story

- mystery/romance with shapeshifters and magic

- Shassie where Shawn goes missing for a while and only Lassiter keeps looking because only he doesn’t think it’s just Shawn resetting himself

- At least six or seven more, including one more Shassie with a You’ve Got Mail type plot, two Kylux bits including a nurse!Hux au and a Stardust plot, three pieces that are straight up Xx3 for Literotica, and something I know is hiding in my notes that I’m forgetting.

And those are just my phone notes. My paper notes and tumblr notes add at least five or so more.

And without a lot of external feedback I’m just stuck in executive dysfunction and/or hyper fixation that starts a new fic.

I started a several-month-long hiatus from working on the next draft of my WIP in the summer, and the plan was to finally get to work again once the fall semester was over and winter break started. Six weeks of not having any educational obligations equals plenty of time to write when I actually sit down to do it. Well, guess who forgot their binder of draft plans in their dorm room?

Or, who thought they forgot their binder of draft plans in their dorm room.

I couldn't find it at home, so I thought that I brought them with me to college (even though I had decided over the summer to not work on it till break). So now I'm back in my dorm and still don't have my notes.

Welp, time to start rewriting all of that from scratch. Just my revised plot, at least. I was going to change some things anyway, but now I have even more to do. Rereading, making the notes, rewriting the outlines for the chapters I want to add in, and jotting down some additional things I want to change. Then I can get started on the next draft. Hopefully, before the month is over. At least I can get some good work done over the next two and a half days of snow and winter weather, cause I'm not going to want to leave my dorm building.
